Actually Yuuki didn't turn so cold to him, he turned cold to her at first. I think mainly because she was a pureblood already and the fact that he wasn't able to keep his promise to her. remember he pointed the gun at her not the other way around. But if those are your reasons then Kaname has to be the most pitiful. I'll name the reasons.
1. Kaname isn't Yuuki's real brother.
2. His "parents" are both dead. and he to was there when one of them was killed.
3. He had to watch Yuuki grow up without knowing who he was and what he meant to her at one point in time.
4. Shizuka even called him pitiful. lol
5. He has to depend on Zero to kill someone that he can't.
6. He had to do nothing but watch as Zero was drinking Yuukis blood. You know that had to sting a little, especially since he couldn't do it.
7. Ooh and the most recent. Yuuki chose to stay at the school while Kaname had to leave without her.
