I was watching anime before I knew it was anime, my first would be Transformers or Robotech/Macross probably . . . but when I became interested, it was Sailor Moon. My first time watching it in Japanese and rarely otherwise now, was Revolutionary Girl Utena because it was produced by the same company that did Sailor Moon.
