I was just wondering if there was any manga/anime in which a character died and you were terribly sad about. Not like Nina Tucker, where you think, 'That's so sad!' but when it REALLY got to you.

The only time this ever happened to me was in the Fullmetal Alchemist movie.

*SPOILER FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN IT*

...When Alfons Heiderich was shot and killed.

Every image of him when he was shot and when he was dead would bring tears to my eyes and I would think about how great a character he was, what a good friend to Ed he was, and got upset about how little a role (although bigger than most) he received.

What about you guys?
