It used to be released in Weekly Shonen Magazine, until it was moved to their Monthly Magazine. I don't know the exact reason why it moved to the monthly one, but the only things I can think of is either they moved it to bring in a new series (they release Air Gear, Fairy Tail, Hajime no Ippo, Bloody Monday, School Rumble, and quite a few other manga) or because the mangaka didn't want the stress of having to make a new chapter every week.
