About the 14th Noah: As Itz says above, both Timcampy and Allen are required to play the ark. We have been told in the past that the 14th passed on the power to play the ark to another, some time ago. And General Cross is the one who made Tim. So, Mana must have been the 14th and passed the power to control the ark to General Cross. A bit of confirmation of that theory is provided when the Earl and Cross meet in the ark, and the Earl says, "It was you," when Cross talks to him about controlling the ark (or something related). I suppose then that Mana and Cross had contact again later when Cross created Tim and Mana taught Allen the music. Then Cross took Allen on, gave him Tim, and everything was set up for Allen in concert with Tim to be the new player of the ark.
This doesn't fit entirely well though because if Cross had the power to control the ark, why wouldn't he just play it himself; and I don't really have an answer for that, save that Cross and Mana had a plan that involved investing Allen with the power.
I have to say though: YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY RHODE AND TIKI ARE BACK FOR REALS (and this was in the present like we thought)! We were discussing how we'd have to become adjusted to Tiki's new appearance in order to find him attractive again: Well, I'm adjusted. He's so sexy. Mmm. And I'm so glad that he retained his personality, and did I mention, RHODE IS BACK for reals?!
This chapter was so much love for the Rhode Tiki bits and for all of the information we've been provided (although now the big question about the akuma has been opened up).
I'm still undecided if the Earl is a Noah. I guess he is, since someone mentioned how the Earl had said he was Rhode's brother. I don't remember that, but if you're sure...
I really am curious about the true significance of the evolution of the akuma.
We have only seen up to Level 4, but if they have some greater significance, there might be akuma who have evolved past that level elsewhere. Looking at the akuma up to Level 4, I don't really know how they could be more than what they seem, but who knows what the mangaka will reveal.
I fear we're not going to find out about the true nature of akuma for some time, unless the manga is supposed to wrap up within about 10 chapters or so.
I have to say also: Yaaaay Victorian setting. We've had impressions of it before, but it seemed so much more vivid and detailed this time. Their costumes, the house, and the street scene were so much love!
But ooooo, the Noahs are involved in politics. The world is screwed! And we've now discovered that the Earl's plan is much more feasible because he's not just using akuma; he is also infiltrating human society with the Noahs. |
