Yeah, Kyo gets really, really sweet later on and by the end of the manga theres the big bang of the whole series that explains why he was so harsh in the beggining. He's too cute and nice to Tohru!
And Yuki blossoms later on as well. Just wait till you get to him hanging out with Kakeru! and the other Stundent Council members!
