Honestly their relationship is just so messed up. On the one hand staying with her makes sense in a political/power way because she's so freaking strong, but I think he's got an extremely obsessive and possessive love for her. The whole Shou/Miyako/I just blanked on his name triangle is messed up.
But I like watching it go down.
