Sure manga is superior, but that doesn't mean we still can't talk about anime.

Which leads me to believe it was Takano and/or the Yamainu framing the Sonozakis. Edit: Actually, it was some people after Teppei. Teppei owed some people money, and they killed Rina to show him they weren't joking around. At least, I think. I just read it somewhere. ^^"

| Any idea what happened in here? (;o 3o) It seems Hanyuu remembered her past about her and her daughter, Ouka but I was wondering why would Ouka want to kill her? >< Sorry for asking a hard question.

But from what I read in the comments, I can gather that it's like the doujin Katautsushi-hen, which was based on the game. In the doujin, Kimiyoushi I think calls Rika and Hanyuu to his house (in this Hanyuu is solid like in Matsuribayashi-hen or Miotsukushi-hen) to purify a doll that he's sensed an evil spirit on. Rika-chama agrees, and while she and Hanyuu are walking down the street with the doll, they come across Mion and Keiichi (MiiKeii, anyone?). Mion takes it to her grandmother so they can find out more about it. Oryou-baa-sama tells them that long ago mothers used to make dolls resembling their daughters, which would wish them (daughters) good luck, and that this one was old and had been repaired multiple times. Hanyuu runs out halfway through Oryou's story, and Rika, Mion, and Keiichi go out and find her. Rika looks closely at the doll and notices one eye gleams but not the other, and she is reminded of the "Sinless World" (Saikoroshi-hen). Suddenly she sees Hanyuu's memories. Hanyuu was probably born the first generation Furude girl (where she probably got the idea she was Oyashiro-sama from), and the villagers thought her a monster because of her horns. Whenever she'd go out, even with her young daughter Ouka, people would throw rocks at her and call her names and even shove her around a little or just ignore her. Kind of like the present-day Houjou. One day, Hanyuu told Ouka to kill her and that way they'd both be happy. In that scene there was flames all around them, and it is implied that the villagers set their house on fire. After Ouka had killed her, she saw the unfinished doll (only marked with 'Furude' on the neck) that Hanyuu had made for her and began to cry. Back in the present day, Rika finds Hanyuu at the Furude grave. Rika tells Hanyuu that she knew what happened, only for Hanyuu to respond by wondering if her decision was right and blaming herself for "tying her daughter with a heavy chain". Rika points out to her that Oryou-baa-sama had said that it was repaired many times, and that the neck now said 'Furude Ouka' signaling that Ouka finished the doll that Hanyuu had made and passed it down until it reached Rika, the eighth generation girl. Also that Ouka did not feel tied down. The doujin ends with Hanyuu saying that she's happy that she's Rika-chama's ancestor.

| Hmm but some of the part (when Hanyuu told Ouka to kill her) was kinda different from the video though. Thanks for answering anyway. ^^ I'll come back if I have more questions pops out of my brain.

| Not sure is this really a question this thread is meant to answer but....here goes.... Anybody know where I can download UNCENSORED version of season 1 episodes?? It doesnt take a genius to know that all those dark shadows that completely covers up an entire corner is actually censorship covering up the juiciest parts of certain scenes. For example... [spoiler] The scene showing Rika's disemboweled corpse being eaten by crows is censored to the point where the best parts of that scene are covered up. Even worse is the scene when Shion was torturing Satoko to death. I watched a clip somewhere that is UNCENSORED version of that scene...in the censored scene, Satoko's traumatised face is covered up by that damn shadow. So does anybody know where I can find uncensored version o fthe anime?? I already watched the whole thing already, but I was disappointed by how badly they censored some of the best scenes. I just LOVE Satoko's face when she finally died from the excessive stabbings while on a cross, unfortunately I could only see that scene in a tiny little youtube screen. So I KNOW an uncensored version exists. I dont mind downloading fansub torrents...I just wanna see the whole thing again...uncensored.(the whole series wasnt that badly censored actually, not like how Americans do things, or how they killed Kodomo no Jikan, but when they DO censor, its censor the best parts). For shame japan...for shame, censoring smut using mosaics is dissapointing enough already, now you censor gore?

If that does not work, try Ayu torrent subs (search for 'Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Ayu; season one should be at the bottom). If even further that does not work, here are raws (in search bar type 'Higurashi no Naku Koro ni RAW [ep#]'). Hey, I noticed you weren't part of the Onion Head Fan Club. Would you like to join and say both me and my sister recruited you (just to help Emma-nee out)? ;w; Pwease?

| ah thx....Im trying the direct download one right now....but since I have BT on right now its gonna take a while to even get the thing started. Which is why I much prefer torrents... I just...I just wanna see Satoko's traumatised face again after she was stabbed multiple times while strapped to a cross. i found it funny that they didnt censor her face during most of the beginning of the torture, and then SUDDENLY that shadow appears to block her. This means SOMETHING happened in that scene... So whats onionhead club....I was reluctant to get into mangafox in the first place...only reason I DID join is mainly for 2 reason....first and most obvious is the ability to read mature content freely....the part that REALLY irks me is how people in the west are such censorship Nazis...I mean look at Kodomo No Jikan, hilarious loli comedy with an engaging story later on, one company was courageous enough to try and license it, but the prudes will come up in arms and that masterpiece will never make it to the west now. And look at narutaru, just LOOK at what Dark Horse did to this comic. Anyways...so whats onionhead club...how do I tell them you two sent me here...and do I need to submit informations again like I did in this site...I wish I knew kungfu like Akasaka near the end of higurashi...and had a girlfriend whos a real life copy of Rika...with the violent personality of Rena.

| Is the ending of Higurashi really a "good" or "happy" ending?? All the group did in the very end was put a stop to Takano's plan in the end and escaped the cycle of deaths they were caught in. BUT in the end, even with Takano gone, pretty much the ENTIRE population of Hinamizawa is supposed to be infected with Hinamizawa syndrome anyways right?? Wouldn't this mean that the villagers are all pretty much doomed to be trapped in the village in order to live?? And since everyone is infected by the syndrome, their life depends on the well-being of Rika's life since she is the queen carrier herself. Does this mean that if somewhere in the future, Rika somehow died, or disappeared, then the entire village would succumb to the Hinamizawa syndrome and die anyways?? So is the ending of higurashi actually a happy ending? I mean, the entire village can still be easily wiped out due to the fact that Rika is the one and only queen carrier keeping them all alive.
