[Rebirth]

Time to discuss our good friend FF.

I recently got 12 and am enjoying it so far but I haven't been able to play much because I'm getting far too many RPG's right now T_T

The battle system is a nice change for the series. The graphics are much better compared to 10 as is the story and voice acting (except for Vaan and Penelo). The whole game has a very epic feel to it, the way the people talk and so forth (again save for Vaan and Penelo who just ruin it).

Balthier rocks.

I'm also about to get Final Fantasy I and II anniversary editions for my PSP and am going to get III for my NDS, also can't wait for the IV remake, Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates, Crisis Core and Dissidia to hit western shores!

Dude your forgeting Final Fantasy Tactics. I heard they are adding new jobs such as Dark Knight(OMG) It's one or the best tactics game out there check it out....

I got final fantasy 12 aswell but i just can't beat the damn last hunt boss....47 million hp down and 3 life bar left but i always get killed when he approach.....I still haven't finish it yet dunno why but it got boring at the end....I just hate the voice over on this game...they sounds stupid(i think) specially vaan and the other non main characters.....

Ah yes of course the tactics games.

I'm planning on getting War of the Lions for my PSP sometime in the future as I've never played the original tactics. I played Advance once and I'll probably get A2 for my DS...

I'm not that into tactics games, the only series I play without fail are the Fire Emblem and Advance Wars series but WotL and A2 look pretty decent.

Also to anyone who's played it is XII Revenant Wings any good? Obviously I'll have to finish XII before thinking about getting this but you doesn't hurt to know.

Oh... And has anyone played XI? I've been looking at it for some time now but I really want to know if it's worth forking out a monthly fee to play.

Well I tried playing WoW... I didn't get bored over time... I got bored as soon as I started playing it...

But the only Blizzard game I ever really enjoyed playing was Starcraft whereas I like almost everything I've played from Squaresoft, Enix Co. and now obviously Square Enix (except the new Mana games) so I was thinking perhaps FFXI would be different in that respect. Plus they keep pumping out expansion packs like there's no tomorrow (WoW has 1 with another 1 on the way vs FFXI's 4) so it seems heaps of story content keeps on getting added.

Anyway I just got FFIII for my DS yesterday. I'm still waiting for I and II (PSP) to arrive (I bought them from ebay whereas I got 3 from a store).

Now I'm facing a dilemma; what do I play? Valkyrie Profile, FFIII, FFXII, FFI, FFII, Chaos Legion or Super Mario Galaxy? T_T

Well, since I have not played the first 5 games (+Super Mario Galaxy, but I will soon!) I would suggest Chaos Legion or Super Mario Galaxy.
If I remember correctly, chaos legion could be compared to Devil May Cry. It's awesome, especially the varied legions you can use...
And Super Mario Galaxy just looks awesome to me, and it's next on my list to play as soon as I finish Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles.

Well yeah Chaos Legion is essentially the same as DMC in gameplay however I don't find it as enjoyable as the DMC series (except for 2... 2 sucked)

Galaxy is freaking ownage. I'm completely addicted to the game, seriously I think it's better than Super Mario 64 and Sunshine combined. I've already got 60 odd stars and once I get 120 I can play the game through as Luigi!

My problem is I'm quite addicted to all these games, Valkyrie Profile is my new found love, FFIII is just awesome, I like Chaos Legion because I liked DMC, FFXII is probably the best FF on PS2, Galaxy is the greatest game out on Wii to date and I'll be getting FF I and II sometime this week hopefully so I'll probably get addicted to them also...

...Also... I WANT UMBRELLA CHRONICLES!

@On-Topic: So yeah FFXII I've played up to where you're on the airship and you have to rescue the queen or the princess or whatever then they leave you and you have to fight some random Judge... I keep dying.

Umbrella Chronicles is freaking amazing. Seriously.
I tend to stay away from Resident Evil, because I didn't like the whole first-person-lets-fight-the-zombies! thing. (Same goes for Fatal Frame and Silent hill )
But Umbrella Chronicles makes me want to just shoot some Zombies..umm..behinds.

But back on topic..
FFIX was my favorite! (It was also the only FF game I've played by myself). Garnet is just adorable. >_<;;

So as you can see I missed the entire PS1 generation of games. Luckily Tactics was ported to PSP but I don't own it yet I've just played a friends copy. I stopped playing all the GBA games ages ago but I itend to play through I and II on the PSP and IV on the DS (V and VI will probably also get a DS remake)

I'm not going to bother with VII as a remake of it is inevitable, so I'll just wait for that.

Played all FF series from all systems but PS2 and Computer even though I beated 7 & 8 on pc as well as ps...both where great =D....I really enjoyed the PS editions the most though, but that was probably because it was the reason I got addicted to the final fantasy saga...I thought 5 and 6 already has a DS edition...coulda swore my brother have them already...I know I beat 1-4 on his ds as well as 1-4 on PS....I should really give 11 and 12 a chance but it just never caught my attention after it went MMORPG...

off topic : hmm..I enjoyed blizzard games alot...Starcraft, Diablo2/LOD, Warcraft/FT...all 3 games where great. I didnt like WoW though..dont see what was so addictive about it..I gave it 5hours and just couldnt play more than that.....
