I sought of made a promise to someone to find a vampire novel to her taste and so i was struck with the awesome idea of having a vampire novel thread. Totally cool.

This next one is a must! It is a series done by the author Christopher Pike. At least in this book, the author didn't stereotype males as the vampires. It is thrilling and the vampire as a motherly yet she has a lethal touch.

hey yumico!
man you have some awesome stories. are the christopher pike novels really potraying female vampires?
thats also a rarity. I actually would be thrilled to read a good vampire book that experiences the curse from a more maternal femine side. I highly doubt that a female vampire would act on the same notions as a male. In fact i would go so far as hypothasize that like the male trying to devower their newly turned, the female would act like mothers to a new born cub and try to portect them? kinda like a lioness? ^_^

I don't know if you have read it, but besides than his Cirque Du Freak Vampire Series, his Demonata series is also not bad. I'm in the middle of his Cirque Du Freak Series ( Book 5 Trials Of Death) and it's totally awesome!

I've read book 9, 11 and 12. Wait till you reach book 12, it will have you on the edge of your seat and jumping out of your seat. I got in trouble for reading because i couldn't put down the put and finish my chores. lol. So don't get in trouble like me but that might be hard to do since it is Darren Shan, after all.

You beat me to the punch of posting on Meyer.
Stephenie Meyer wrote some amazing vampire novels, so my source says because I haven't read it as yet, I'm waiting for her to finish it. Her books are for young adults. So far there is 3 publication in the series.
Twilight (October 2005)
New Moon (August 2006)
Eclipse (May 2007)
up coming in August 2 2008, Breaking Dawn.
From my source, I found out the novel is a bit on the romance, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.

Did you know that I am legend the movie, starring Will Smith, was based on a novel.
The novel, I am Legend was a 1954 science fiction and horror, that was written by Richard Matteson. The 1995 edition was published by Fawcett Gold Medal and it contains 317 pages including short stories. I so want to read this book. It is similar to the movie but in the book it has movie vampire stuff, however, the the last person alive is male, so the stereotype strikes again. Sorry for you female vampires fans!

Hey yumico can you find me a vampire mystery series?
I've read all the blood books, which is my fave vampire mystery series. I really like the thriller types, which is why i adored the blood books. They place you right into the action, and completely take you for a trip. You'll have to read, cause it's hard to explain. (-;
oh and twilight is a classic. period. I remember first reading it back in middleschool xD
it's becoming a movie btw....however it doesn't look so good >_>
but then again what do it know right?
