| On the list of books included in poll, i can only comment on harry potter cause thats the only book i have read so far. on giving judgement on the book versus the movie, i say i agree to all of you. The first two movies were mimicked exactly on the first and second movie but after that the following movies have had major differences compared to the book in terms of sequencing, w/c wiped off important details affecting to minor changes in the story. even though that's the case, i still watch the movie to criticize. hehe. still the movie is worth seeing for the special effects. plus its nice to see the magical creatures and spells come to life on the big screen apart from our own imagination. |

| mostly i like books better than the movie-adapted ones (about 99.9%)..i think the novels have something more to give than the movie (and it takes my imagination in a treadmill ^^)..among the choices in the poll, i think LOTR is closer to the novel.. |

But I am a HUGE fan of Harry Potter. Comparing to other films, Harry Potter is actually pretty good. Comparing it with the books, I must say... the books are even better! I was looking forward to Ron and Hermione being prefects... T.T

| is ur Invisibility Cloak. | The Golden Compass is actually one of my favorite books. EVER. I love it along with the other two books in Phillip Pullman's His Dark Materials trilogy. Anyway, Nicole Kidman was great as Mrs. Coulter, dontcha think so? lol. The movie was okay, but well of course it's such a challenge to live up to the books and I think (?) they did quite okay. I dunno. It was really admirable the way they condensed one great book into some 100 minutes. -_- |
