|  I loved the book "Queen of the Damned", but the movie was unimaginable shit. It was like they mashed "The Vampire Lestat" and "Queen of the Damned" together and tried (emphasis on TRIED) to get a decent movie out if it. "Interview With the Vampire" was a great book and even worked as a movie (despite Tom Cruise as Lestat, not my first chioce for the role), so why couldn't they repeat that success? The QotD movie left out so much from the book and completely rearranged everything else to the point that it was unrecognizable, to say nothing of the horrid acting and the abysmal accent on the part of Aaliyah. People who saw the movie and decided to pick up the book should be so very thankful that the book is so much better than the move. |

| I loved Anne rice Vamp novel back in the day. They still hold A fond place for me. The first 3 books are still my Favorites. Queen of the damned is the best for me. So much happens in that book. but alas i Stopped reading them right before Memnoch the devil. Some one told me Armand dies and I was never able to read it. I agree the movie Queen of the Damned was a waste of a movie and not even worth a rental. It's like they just used the name to get people interest and none of the plot.
