| I love both the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series and The Merry Gentry Novels but if you had to choose which series do you think is the better one? I would choose Merry's Novels because I love the romance and the political intrigue that goes with each book. Plus I have Doyle to lust after. I love Doyle although I must admit that Jean Claude was my first love and Asher soon after that that. I think is it the sexy bad boys that I love and on top of that Doyle reminds of Jean Claude a great deal. Maybe that is why I love them the best. But Merry wins between her and Anita even though I read Anita first.

| >_<; To tell the truth, she's not really my favorite author. One thing that I don't like about her books is that 3/4's of the book is just plain sex. The plot is centered around it.

The sex is the greatest point of the series.... plus, its not really like that. it goes: Start--> stuff--> Plot--> romance--> Smut--> supernatural stuff--> Smut..... then back to stuff and so on and so on....

| Have to go with Anita ..for me their just something about vamp, that drive my crazy. Who cares about the smut at least it has relevance to the stroy.She makes it part of the story, not like the cheesy romance novel out their. I like the gentry just not as much.

| I like Anita so dont get me wrong, I by the newest book everytime it come out but the Anita books are still tring to be a mystery horror book and I am a little tried of the serial killers in every book. How can sooo many serial killers migrate to one place. I like the Merry because It focuses on the people and the story not a killer mystery to solve in every book although the first books were like that aswell. I do admit I did read Narcissus in Chains first and A Carress of Twilight so I lean more toward romance and love and the smut I love the smut that is one of the best parts about the books and the harem of gorious men around the lady of the book but I can not belive how many people are knocking Merry. I love the sidhe. So still say the Merry novels are a little better than the Anita books. I am a romance girl.

The sex is great. I have never heard so much details about it from any other author. The first 3 or so books in a series would be good, like there would be some kick-ass action and romance and sex and whatnot.. But towards the later books, they just seem to pale in comparison and there's so much sex that the main plot is buried underneath. >_<;

| If you want to about vampires werewolves and a kickass vampire hunter the Anita Blake novels are the way to go. Although if you are expectioning sex and romance from the strat that does not happen. It takes until book five for that The Killing Dance. OMG Jean Claude is so hot. If you like Fairy Princess with poltitics and sex from book one read Meridith Gentry the first book is A Kiss of Shadows. Both series are great and she explains things as she goes in the book but if you are reading for the first time in order may be the way to go. ![]() ![]() ![]()
