| I have a few favourite books, but I'm not sure who my favourite writer is. I think everyone should read Chuck Palahniuk's books because he is an absolute genius. And who could forget J.R.R. Tolkien? Genius, also, but in a different way. Marianne Curley wrote the Guardians of Time trilogy, ...very, very good books. (The Named, The Dark, The Key). Choices, by Deborah Lynn Jacobs, is an excellent book, a very quick and intriguing read. That almost sums it up. But the best Book of all? The Bible. Okay, so God's my favourite author. |

| Senior Member | Hehe I hate the bible. . . I don't really like the style of writing ya know? LOL I really dislike Jacquline Wilson too. She just. . . never mind. . . OOH! Everybody should take a look at the book "go Ask Alice" That book is so gripping just has something that makes you go WOW because it's an actual diary of a drug addict. Heavy, scary SH*T but incredible! |

| From Kafka and Dostoevsky to Asimov and even Nietzche, the list would be too long! From contemporary ones, anyone ever read Matthew Reilly? His books aren't literary masterpieces per se, but they're a hell of an adrenaline rush! I'm reading Dune these days... not too bad. |

| My favorite author has get to be either Vivan Van Velde or Meg Cabot. I like almost all of Vivan's books. But I reccomend: Heir Apparent Now You See It For Meg Cabot, I suggest: Size 12 Is Not Fat Size 14 Isn't Fat Either Big Boned Is Beautiful (All three are a series) The Boy Next Door |
