Wrong place for this request.
Try posting your request in the Anime Discussion section or Artist's Heaven.

Because it has so many themes, and the language is pretty much sophisticated.
Lol, well I think so anyway.

ahh.yes, yes, that's true. When I was reading those novels I had to keep a very thick dictionary by my side all the time..Helps me understand what I am reading (not a native English Speaker)
And if by any chance you'll read The Three Musketeers Unabridged Edition, you'll find out that reading is dangerous for your health.

i read a lot of romance novels because i think they are the best. I really like reading Janet Evanovich, Stephanie Meyer, and many many others. I would definitively recommend Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum novels they are so funny and have some great romance in there!

Hmm I get where you come from, being form a country whose primary language is spanish. For my experience I learned english by watching TV and listening to music, but mostly by reading, I started with little hooror stories and short stories, but that was back in the day

Eventually i just progressed to the point that Im mostly comfortable in english, if and only if the book was originally written in english, cuz I hate traslations, they loose a lot of the meaning.
I've read both The Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo, both unnabridged (it's just not worth it otherwise) by Dumas, and once ur a bit more settled in english its a breeze, so ull die but it'll be worth it . I would love to read it in the original, but thats out of the question for the momment (still stuck in Le petit Prince and its a kiddie book )

I never saw the big appeal in romance novels...

I read a couple of them and then on the third book it was already getting predictable. A man and a woman falls in love... and of course naturally there'll be all sorts of roadblocks in the path to their true love. But this won't stop them from having sex-filled scenes...in fact it just somehow boosts it no matter how unappealing it was. By unappealing, I mean the said roadblocks is an crazy, purtain setting full of rapid religious people who would litterally stone you to death for having sex out of wedlock. that's just an example. And then of course there's always an happy, sappy ending. and those books were actually all by separate authors.

I'd have to agree with xxpoetgirlxx, I just finished the current series that Stephenie Meyer is working on. It happens to be the first romance novels that I've enjoyed. It wasn't just about the physical contact in the series. That'd be one of the problems I have with most Romance Novels. It usuallly ends up being about the physical realationship before the development of the realationship itself. So I'd be one who isn't too into Romances. But give me a good Fiction book that has a male main character and I'm there book in hand, and it's past midnight.

I love William Shakespeare stories... like Twelfth Nights and Midsummer's Night Dream. But I never really liked Romeo and Juliet :P I know loads of people who like Pride and Prejudice but I've never read it. There is this really amazing children's book... well actually it's for teenagers and older (quite mature... very actually >.>) and it's amazing because it's about forbidden love with some discrimination... it's said to be similar to Romeo and Juliet as someone dies. To be honest, I think it beats Twilight... I don't understand how Twilight is amazing and all... but this book is written in interesting details yet not so boring... if you know what I mean... it's called Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman. Unfortunately, I think it's only sold in the UK... I'm not sure though but you could always try buying it online :3 I'd probably even have sent anyone the book in a parcel if I had my own copy... >.> It rules so much more than Twilight! The characters in Twilight are not even realistic... I mean Edward is just pathetic... how come he is so amazing yet dense when it comes to love? I mean he is meant to read other people's mind! Sorry Twilight fans, but to be honest... it's not one of the best books I've read... the only character I like is Jacob.
