I like her..^^ I have read her books over and over :P sometimes her books are little bit boring when there is no action but romance is enought ;>

Have you seen Pride and Prejudice movie? what did you like it? I usually don't like Keira Knightley but she was good playing Lizzie. But I think that movie didn't give justice to the book. Everything happens so fast and I didn't get a good image when Lizzie's feelings change towards mr.Darcy..

true. i dont really like the movie myself. it is much more interesting to read the book than to watch the movie... well anyway, i don't have much hope for the movie when i first heard of it though..>.<; rarely any movie that's adopted from excellent book is good...so, yea..:[

I love Austen... She writes such wonderful irony. Although I thought that Pride and Prejudice dragged on a little too much; I prefer some of her later work like Mansfield Park and Persuasion. Generally I don't like romances much, but what I like about her work is the originality of the characters.

I realize that her books are amazing pieces of literature and etc etc. but I can't help but find them heartbreakingly dull.
Given I've only read Pride and Prejudice (I was forced to in English Class) so I can't be a very good judge but it was... long-winded to say the least. I wanted to cry every time Mr. Collins started talking.

I just read Pride and Prejudice but I really love. The films is very good and don't betray the book. I think I will read other books of jane austen.

Default jane austen

jane austen's wit, humor and deep perception of society and all it's rules and pretentions i believe make her a classic and most worthy read. although to truly understand superior writing one must understand the era. which may be difficult considering our own selfish and precipitant culture.

that is the whole point of his character, don't you know it takes all kinds of people to make a world? and to say it is long winded just makes it obvious that you did not understand what was going on.
