but for some reason Jazz is starting to grow on me...

it makes me sooooo relaxed, that sometimes I just zone out and the only thing I notice is just the music

Ok I'm going to look into a few of those bands suggested... Just a few, mainly because already dislike most of what was posted :P

Also I'm going to revise my description:

I'm still looking for metal, however this time I'm not concerned about what type of metal it is just as long as it's in English. Also I'm still after epic lyrics (i.e. slaying dragons, questing, riding, etc.) a couple of examples of what I'm looking for is almost anything from DragonForce but also "The Lost Vikings" from Dethklok is an EXTREMELY good example of what I'm after. In the end I'm not concerned so much if it's metal or not just as long as it has epic lyrics, rock suffices though metal is preferred.

Also maybe I should put down that I enjoy listening to "DragonForce", "Dethklok", "Arctic Monkeys", "The Black Mages", "Crush 40", "Gorillaz", "Rage Against the Machine" and "Tenacious D" so keep them in mind when suggesting a band to me.

And on the flipside I don't like "Nickleback", Good Charlotte", "The White Room", "Muse", "Hinder" and I don't really step outside the realms of Rock and Metal so please no Rap/Pop/Hip-Hop/R 'n' B thank you.

Finally someone else ask for a recommendation, this thread isn't only for me >_>

Im trying to think for you what you would like of my music...hahah well i suppose Muse is out of the question...watevs i get a lot crap from my friends, i mainly only listen to them for the music not the singing

I would say...damn its really hard because im not into Metal but i can give some rock suggestions...

-Electric Light Orchestra (ELO)...listen to tightrope (they have other really famous songs)
-The Riffs..listen to White Line Kids (other good songs too)
-Creedence Clearwater Revival....Lookin Out My back door another (another famous song would be Bad Moon Rising)
- The Small Faces...Sha la la la lee

Sorry if you don't like them

Oh my... I had a friend who DJ'd with Dirty Sanchez. They certainly are dirty. And made of strange. I think Leslie and the Lys falls somewhere in that category as well. If you've never heard of her, definately youtube her and her fantastic "gem sweaters". Made of sillies. Even if you don't like it, you'll definately laugh. Oh or Chromeo, I like Chromeo though and Tracy and the Plastics.

Ok, so you're into power metal, huh? ok : welcome to the club! though the bands you mentioned are not power metal except for Dragonforce. Dethklok is brilliant, you should try listening to the whole Dethalbum. some of my fav songs are "Thunderhorse", "Go into the water" and "Awaken>

now for those epic Power metal suggestions:
Rhapsody [of fire] it's exaclty what you asked for : EPIC
Luca Turilli
Helloween, Gamma Ray, Iron Saviour
Stratovarius
Angra
[ don't know if you're username comes from the title of one of their songs]
Freedom Call
Dragonland
EDGUY!!!
Avantasia
Massacration
and Nanowar [with "N" it's a parody band for Manowar and Rhapsody]
Blind Guardian [live is better- awesome voice]
Demons & wizards
Axel Rudi Pell Shaaman
Armoured Saint
Stormwitch
Virgin Steele
Paragon
Pharaoh
Seven witches

..and the super gods of metal : IRON MAIDEN and JUDAS PRIEST - respect them, you punks! >:P
