[Rebirth]

Well I'm making this thread because I require more music. I love my current line up of songs but listening to the same ones day in day out can get pretty repetitive (shock horror) so I thought I'd come to the MF community for help.

Here's essentially how this thread will work:

So here's mine.

I'm currently at a shortage for metal. Power metal to be exact, but other types of metal will also suffice. I'm not looking for any types of metal with hard screaming or lyrics about depressing things like death or whatever. What I'm more into is a sort of epic sounding song which is kind of uplifting and sings about things like questing for power and slaying dragons. A prime example of this type of music is DragonForce, I've got all three of their albums and they're taking too long to release the Valley of the Damned remix album so I need alternatives. Also to me it's a plus if the band uses a keyboard and has insane guitar playing but it is not required. They must sing in English. I already have Iron Maiden and am looking into Judas Priest so don't suggest them.

Aahh, I was about to recommend Antic Cafe,
But they don't sing English x_x
Nor would I really consider their genre, "metal"

They're still a really good band though,
If you ever decide to listen to jrock :)

I do listen to some jrock. For the purpose of my post though I just wanted some more english metal.

In terms of jrock I've listened to UVERworld, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Beat Crusaders, L'Arc~en~Ciel, ORANGE RANGE, abingdon boys school and FLOW. Out of all of them I only really enjoy Beat Crusaders on a regular basis and AKGF occasionally. I also listen to X Japan who are jmetal and thus rock.

@RADazn: I wouldn't really call Good Charlotte metal...

Mudvayne is pretty good, but theres quiet a bit of screaming, but atleast its in english.

Another good metal band, but they are not english, is Rammstein. They do do however have a keyboard player.

uhhh , all the ones I was going to say were already said only band i can think of is Fly Leaf.But they are consitered a CHristain band.Though the main vocals are great.But the main vocals are a girl.The songs aren't ...that depressing they seem to be alot about freinds O.o bUt I enjoy the band Fly Leaf. Oh and what about The Used?Both great bands I luv them

I looking for some jrock, and some rock/metal - something like ac/dc. Any help appreciated. You'll eventually get nightmares from listening to the same songs over and over again on itunes, believe me, I'm having them.
