Ok, this is all of the story so far part 2. If you read through and find something that sounds strange or you have suggestions on how to change it just ask the person wrote it if its okay to change it, if it is okay with them i will change it on this post, Okay? This might take a few posts so please dont post till i say im done...

Asano Rin was driving to town from work, it hadn't been a good day. He had bad mouthed that stupid bagger who always said obnoxious things to the customers. Unfortunately he was the boss's eldest son so Rin had gotten a pay cut, again. Rin was thinking hard about how to make this months rent so he missed his exit.

Damn, I guess I'll take the scenic route...what is that?!

There was a man collapsed on the side of the road, he looked like Rins polar opposite, He looked to be in his mid-twenties and was slightly shorter then Rin with a surprising amount of muscles. He had practically white blond hair and he was frowning even in sleep. A quick check confirmed he was just asleep, not dead. He was rather well dressed for a homeless person but Rin just figured he had stolen the clothes, because there was blood on the clothes and he was guessing it was someone else’s.

*Sigh* "I guess I better get you to a hospital or something, I don't want a dead hobo on my conscience."

After several tries he finally managed to shove him in the back of the car. He dropped the guy of at the hospital without him waking up once. He didn't stick around for them to ask questions, besides he was getting hungry. As soon as someone went to get a doctor Rin slipped out the back door and left.

That next morning when the nurse came to check in on the man, he had disappeared without a trace, it was like he had never been there at all.

Rin however did not stay and immediately left to get some food. He went to a local dive he went to a lot, the food was cheap because they didn't believe in sanitation (Rin suspected that the sanitation grade was just a skull and crossbones). Rin consider the place blessing. As Rin walks up to the table he realized he has very little money, his pay had been cut so much he could barely afford to pay rent for his rats nest of an apartment. But he’s so hungry he buys the greasiest thing on the menu and ponders how to get a little extra income. After he eats and goes to painfully count out his money he sees a flyer carelessly taped to the register.

Rins is reluctant to answer such a shady ad but the money was tempting and he didn’t have to really do anything. So he paid the cashier and wrote down the number on his way home. He called the next morning and after giving a bored sounding young lady his doctors number and a quick background check was performed he was given the job and told to come down to the facility that night.

As he entered the small but clean lab he looked around and was surprised to see at least 5 scientist-ty looking guys nervously circling like sharks. As soon as he walked in everyone in the room practically jumped then swarmed him with questions about where he grew up and his favorite color, suddenly a tall, balding man with watery eyes and a creepy air about him. As soon as he walked in the room the air suddenly thickened and no one moved, Rin especially because the man was staring right at him.

"You are subject number (he checks his clipboard) 13, Lets hope that’s a lucky number, Ok now jump on the table. We don’t have all night you know..." He had a creepy smile plastered on his face and would every once in a while start humming tonelessly for no reason. His voice was sharp and grating like a nail file and Rin barley kept his tongue in check. 'Just remember how much you need the money..." He repeated in his mind like a mantra as the white coats took blood test and hair samples apparently they didn't trust his doctor so it was nearly an hour later till they final started getting ready for his experiment.

“Ok, the bald man said, now I will inject you with this shot and if in something happens in 24 hours we will have something interesting.” He gave Rin a smile and said "Don’t worry, your doing just fine. We will see what happens and go from there."

It was making Rin more and more nervous the more they told him not to worry. This was the 27th time (he was counting) he had been told everything would be fine; Rin finally lost control and blurted out. "And what the hell are you trying to do again?" The bald man simply stared at him and said "I don think you need to know, but it’s nothing that you need to worry about." He seemed to add this as an after thought. His attitude was really starting to get on Rin's nerves.

The bald man swiftly injected him with pale lavender liquid and Rin was told to sleep in a small room he had a sneaking suspicion had been a broom closet earlier in its life. When he woke up he was disoriented and looked out the window to see it was night again, for a second he thought he hadn’t gone to sleep so went to the bathroom to get a drink, but all thoughts flew out of his head when he looked in the mirror...

The person staring back at Rin wasn’t anyone he knew... this person was tall with deep black hair (really needing brushing) and bright red eyes (not because of lack of sleep) and had a slightly mischievous look in the eyes, none of this was the problem though, the thing that shocked Rin to the point he couldn't speak was the fact that the person staring at him in the mirror was a women.

Rin was really shocked by it, still confused and shocked Rin decided to take a night walk, anyone would need some fresh air so why not take one? But it wasn't "just" an ordinary night walk, since Rin was now standing in front of his school, though it was eerie to come inside the school grounds Rin took the liberty of going in even though it was dark.

After 15 minutes.....

Rin made his way to the rooftop of the school....Rin looked up in the sky for a moment to see a full moon, glistening in silver, sighing Rin slowly made his way to the rails in front of him, and sat there quietly hands both holding on the rails while he sat there quietly, gently bowing his head so that even the moon won't see him silently break down......

Near the school grounds

A girl was walking carrying her bag as she went closer and closer to the school grounds, though it was dark, the girl don't seem to mind it since she was in a lot hurry to worry, she was a transfer student after all, so she needs to look at the school before tomorrows first meeting, stopping the girl turned a little and looked at the enormous gate in front of her.

Smiling the girl looked up the enormous gate, seeing the whole view of the schools front, when she suddenly saw someone, even though in the dark, she saw someone sitting on the rails of the rooftop, the girl lost her smile, but due to impulse the girl jumped over the enormous gate and ran inside the school, towards the rooftop.....

After 5 minutes.... (K: Don't ask me how she got there in that time....! )

The girl opened the door gently so that she wouldn't startle the person sitting in the rails in front of her, praying first before sighing silently, she gracefully tip-toe'd to the person in front of her, mean while, Rin was still depressed at the fact that he was turned into a girl, seeing as there was no way he can be a girl since the person who did this to him was unknown to him.

Well suddenly he felt something warm, and rather gentle but snaky movement from his chest, then out of nowhere he was pulled from a back, and has fell on something rather soft and warm..... regaining his sight, Rin blink his eyes a few more time and decided to look on to what he had land on......

Rin's eyes suddenly widen in shock, he had land on a girl! a GIRL! Not to mention that his right hand was fondly place on the girls right breast (K: Give it wackiness but put a little accident on it as well! ;3) But he couldn't directly look at the girls face since he'll be facing trouble for who knows what'll happen to him, but he suddenly remember that his physical looks is that of a girls.

"Hmmn.... You alright....? Why were you sitting on those rails? You could have died!" Came a voice, Rin heard it, since he can't stop himself from looking up he saw a beautiful face right in front of him, the girl had blond hair, light blue eyes, and was wearing a dark red clip as a hair ornament, "U-um... Y-Yah I'm fine.... Sorry to make you worry....." Rin said while stuttering, the girl gently closed her eyes sighed then opened her eyes again then looked at Rin with a big hearty ol' smile.......

"Well then.... since it was rude of me to pull you out of nowhere, let me introduce myself!" the girl said happily, as both Rin and the girl gave each other some space, "My names Saterin Hitomi, I'm only 14 years old! Whats your name?" the girl ended her introduction with a smile then looked at Rin, her smile faded and was replaced with a confused look, Rin was utterly shocked at the turn of events.

"Hi-Hime-chan! I-Is that really you?!" Rin stuttered out loud, then the girl named as Hitomi, nodded, "Well, I answered you question politely, but whats your name?" Hitomi said calmly with a thoughtful gaze, "U-Ummm.... I-I'm Asano Rin, 16 years old......" Rin said averting his gaze from Hitomi, a small blush gently forming on his face.

Thats when the silence started neither both Rin and Hitomi said a word....... Then as Rin stared at Hitomi, he saw that Hitomi's eyes suddenly widen......

"W-Wait! What?!" Hitomi said with a shocked expression, "Y-Your Rin?" Hitomi used her index finger to point at Rin, while Rin just nodded, "........Rin......" Hitomi said in a rather low tone of voice, while her bangs covered her whole face, while Rin looked at Hitomi worriedly, but was shocked when Hitomi jumped on him, because of the sudden movement, Rin and Hitomi fell.

Stunned, Rin felt that Hitomi moved a little, her arms were now around Rin's neck, Hitomi lovingly snuggled on Rin's neck as a sign of appreciation, recovering from the shock he experienced Rin returned the gesture, and hugged Hitomi back, putting his arm's around Hitomi's waist, he didn't know that this sudden turn of event will lead him onto Hitomi, but for whatever reason it was, he thanked the god's for leading him to her.......

As the both Rin and Hitomi hugged, neither of them said anything to one another, they just stayed the way they were......

Slowly Rin stood up and looked up at the moon.

"Its getting late...school is starting soon and a since we are both “new” students we both have a lot of paperwork to do... I'll see you around I guess."

Rin looked down on Hitomi when he said this and gave her a slightly melancholy smile. Hitomi knew Rin very well, they had grown up together and she knew that’s his expression said the conversation was over. She muttered as he left

"Stupid, stubborn Rin didn’t change a bit..."

Rin didn’t even look back, he kept walking and disappeared into the night.

The next morning when Rin woke up he nearly had a heart attack, clearly this would take some getting used to. He brushed his hair and teeth and borrowed some of his roommate’s clothes because he didn’t have any girl close, luckily her roommate was gone for at least another month so it didn’t matter much…There was a knock at the door and as soon as he opened the door a fairly cheerful Hitomi sailed inside. She had brought coffee and school registration papers so he excused her intrusion. They spent about an hour catching up and then Hitomi asked “So who are you planning on introducing yourself to the school? I’m not the only person who will recognize your last name.”

"Yes, but your the only person who knows I don’t have any relatives.” I just happen to be Rins twin, we even have the same name the only difference is now my middle initial is an M instead of a W. It’s so weird it’s impossible to doubt."

At this bit of trickery Hitomi saw a bit of the old trouble making Rin come out. They sat and chatted comfortably for a while. For Hitomi seeing him again (even like this) brought back memories.

Hitomi used to go to school with Rin. Rin bad mouthed people(mostly bullies) and they beat him up. After Hitomi saw this happen a couple of times it made her sick. At lunch she happened to walk in on Rin making fun of a guy who was toying with a younger kid. He rammed his fist into Rins face but he kept laughing at him. That’s when Hitomi stepped in and she kicked him in the stomach until he collapsed. Ever since then they were fast friends, Rin was always getting them in trouble so things were never boring. As they grew up and got to high school(Hitomi skipped a grade). Suddenly for Hitomi, Rin was starting to become more then a friend the unthinkable happened. Hitomi was from a rich family of vampires, it was inevitable that she start to vamp out eventfully but she was really early it usually happens around 18, and had just turned 14. She had to leave to get a crash course in vampirism and had to move away immediately. she came back 6 months later, but school was out by then so she hadn’t gotten a chance to talk to Rin since then, and Rin wouldn’t admit it to anyone(least of all himself) he was a little hurt she never said goodbye...

Rin stood up and said

"I’m all set to go to our old school, the basterds who did this say it will take them at least 3 months to get a remedy, I swear the boss just finds this whole situation hi-larous (he says this in a sarcastic drawl) What an I gonna tell my boss, it took me forever to convince him I deserved more then minimum wage!"

"Good luck in the job search Rin we should meet up later your gonna need some girl clothes. Don’t worry, I’m an expert!" With that said Hitomi gave Rin a quick kiss on the head and danced gracefully out the door.

"I’m glad someone has a good attitude about this, too bad it can’t be me"

About five min after Hitomi left Rin started walking to school. When Rin got to school he had to act like her did not know where he was going, but in the end he ended up being one of the fist students to the class. When the bell rang the teacher introduced Rin. Every one wanted to know why Rin had the same name as one if the other class mates. He explained that he was Rin's twin sister who had been living with their dad. No one argued to Rin's relief.
The rest of the morning went well. Then it was lunch. in was exited because he would be able to talk to Hitomi just like they used to. When he finally got out of the lunch line he sat in his usual spot and waited for Hitomi. The two talked all through lunch about what had happened in the last six months.
When the bell rang they both hurried it their next classes. For Rin that was gym. He hated it he almost walked into the boy’s locker room. But the rest of class was not that bad he got to run he loved to run it always helped him clear his mind.
The rest of the day was not too bad he just try to live with it. when he got home he was so glad he could finally act like a guy.

The next day was better; he was already getting a reputation as being just like "her brother." The only thing different was he gone home with only a few bruises instead of having to be dragged home. Rin guessed hitting girls made most of them uncomfortable Hitomi kept her promise and helped him find some clothes that would fit "New Rin" he didn’t remember much, because he had blocked everything after walking into a store and Hitomi turning to look at him and saying "Do you know your measurements, No? Well we need that first..." Everything after that was a blessedly a big blur…

The first few weeks went by in a flash, as he spent all his energy adjusting. Suddenly he realized he needed a new job. He had been busy but he needed his half of the rent was do soon and he really didn’t want have to pawn everything he owned (not much). So the job search began again. There were plenty of places that would hire the "New Rin" but not many he was willing to do or paid enough until he found a job as a shelf stoker at a book shop. It was good because it was quiet and he didn’t have to interact with many people. His new boss was a tough burly looking man named Enikku Aironedojju he was fairly nice and helpful but no matter how long you were around him you never got used to him. It fascinated Rin that such a tough manly guy would run a book shop. He always was working on something, he could often be found out back fixing something, every once in a while he would repair a mower or car for a neighbor. The pay was good for such a simple job so Rin tried no to pry. Everything was finally getting back to normal when He appeared.

He appeared all of a sudden, Rin remembered that he saw this guy before when he was little, this guy was the one who told him the Hime-chan would leave him someday..... But why is he here?! Is he here to take Hime-chan yet again?!

"I've come here yet again to inform you...." The Ninja said coldly, it was so cold that it can pierce through persons thought that he/she can't think the moment he/she hears that tone of voice, "W-Why....?" Rin just said, rather confused, and rather afraid, but still tried not to run, "Well, It's because I'm worried of Hitomi Ojou-sama, I don't think a guy like you can protect her in your situation..." the Ninja said rather in a harsh tone.

"H-How'd you know about that.....?!" Rin said rather shocked, eyes widen in horror, while staring at the mysterious Ninja, "Because I know a lot about you...." the Ninja exclaimed, "Besides.....I can't stand seeing my Ojou-sama crying every night until she fell asleep!!" The Ninja growled rather loudly and angrily, Rin was shocked at the sudden information, 'H-Hime-chan.....cries every night.....?' was the only thought Rin had.

"Because, I can't believe Ojou-sama fell in love on a person like you!!" the Ninja said in frustration, Rin's eyes widen even more, never had he knew that his childhood friend....likes him...... "N-No, that’s i-impossible!" Rin exclaimed at the ninja, "Theres nothing impossible for love!!" the Ninja said back, twice the frustration, now bursting in anger, because of Rin's stubbornness.

"That's not true!!" Rin said back still refusing to admit it, he never once saw that Hime-chan liked him that way, she always give Rin this friendly approach, "It's true, she really likes you!!" the ninja said, refusing to give up on Rin, "Thats impossible!! I-I can't possibly be in love with her!! O-Of all people?! Why would I like Hime-chan?! S-She's a vampire!! What if she decides to kill me?! I'd be dead if that'll happen!!" Rin said while he turned his head to the left.

But before the mysterious ninja could say anything, he suddenly heard a noise, coming from a big bush, both Rin and the Ninja looked at the bush, still focusing their gazes at the big bush, "W-Who's there....?" was the only thing heard from Rin, he was so afraid and confused right now, that all the train of thoughts were drove away.

"Umm....I-I'm sorry for listening to your.....conversation, I-I was so tempted that I.....couldn't stop myself from listening....." a girl said, that voice was very familiar, but the tone that was used to deliver the sentence was rather, sad and seemed like a tone that was used for those who are.....rejected...... "O-Ojou-sama?!" the mystery ninja said out loudly.

"H-Huh?!" Rin looked at the Ninja then back to the bush, the noise continued, as the girl struggled to come out of the big bush, the rustling sounds were rather loud, then after a moment, everything was silent, Rin was a little uneasy, since the quiet atmosphere made him uncomfortable, then a shadowed figure came into view from the big bush.

But Rin didn't said a word, as the figure came into the light, only to reveal, Saterin Hitomi, her gaze was turned to the left side while her left hand was holding her right arm rather tight..... All in all, the aura around her had a touch of sadness, pain and rejection.... "Go-Gomen ne..... I'm sorry for listening......to your conversation....." Hitomi barely whispered the whole sentence.

Rin was....now in trouble, he was confused a while ago and now.....he felt this pain rising, Rin gently clutched his school blouse rather tight, seeing Hime-chan, here in front of him after hearing the conversation he had with this masked Ninja made him....uncomfortable and in pain, "Hi-Hime-chan.....! I....Um....." Rin tried to compose a sentence but only to fail in this attempt.

"Um... O-Okay, S-See tomorrow....at...ummm......school!!" Hitomi said, still hurt from what she heard, but it can't be helped.....right....? Right? Before Hitomi leave, Hitomi closed her eyes and smiled, a rather sad smile before running off, to her home, running fast as she can, running pass to Rin.....Running away because of sorrow..... Rin saw the tears that were in Hitomi's eyes as Hitomi passed him.......

This wasn't what Rin wanted things to be..... Right when he just saw her......That was when things made it easy, because of Hitomi's help but.....this wasn't what Rin wanted to see.....what Rin wanted to hear, AND what Rin wanted to watch...... And the only thought Rin had in his mind was.......

Rin didn’t know how he could have been so blind. Hitomi was a popular girl and yet he never saw her with a boy friend. He had reasoned like a proud father that none of the boys were good enough for his Hime-chan. He hadn’t wondered why he was the only person to be invited to her house and be given her darkest secret. He always thought they did everything as friends, even though she had many other close friends too. Rin wondered how he could fix this god-awful mess when he walked into the apartment he was sharing and herd a noise. Suddenly hiding behind the door he peaked in, he couldn’t see the mans face but he was sneaking around the place very quietly, Rin is sure its Ninja-chan and dashes forward and smashes his fist into the face. The man drops holding his nose whispering "Ow,owowowowowowowow." The person suddenly got up and folded his arms and said, "And who the hell are you?"

It wasn’t ninja chan this guy was about his age with hair gelled into little spikes and large brown eyes. He was slightly taller then "New Rin" and even though he had just been hit, had a careless smile on his face.

Apparently his roommate had come back a little early. Zeinzu Hokku and Rin had hung out a lot as kids though it wasn’t always fun since Rin always had to lose, Hokku hated losing even more then Rin did. They had been sharing an apartment since the Boys Dorm got too crowded about a year back. He had gone on vacation and came back after the beginning of school. he had always said "I hate the first couple of weeks of school, all the introductions and first years confusion, ill get the teachers to mail me the work I’m not going to school till the newblettes can figure out were there classes are." Hokku was always procrastinating and was really difficult to live with. By default Rin had to be the clean one because if he left one thing out or dirty one dish then the whole place would be covered in filth in about 10 seconds. He had said he wouldn’t be back for a week.

"Ahh...Hi, I'm Rins sister, he let me move in while he was gone."

"Okay, I didn’t know he had a sister, damn I should have asked him to introduce me, even though you do punch hard...Ow."

"I’m not apologizing for that so stop complaining, Rin told me you wouldn’t be back for another week."

Yep, I was going to surprise him, but well things don’t work out like you plan, my names Zeinzu Hokku whats yours."

"Asano M. Rin and I've got to get to work now or my boss might kill me so I must be going, I suggest you clean up that mess before I get back or there will be trouble. It’s another week before I can move to the girl’s dorm so I expect you to act as though I’m Rin, Do I make myself clear!"

Before He could react Rin grabbed his work clothes and swept out. He looked at the sky and mused.
"Could things get any worse? Oh wait don’t answer that I don’t want to know."


Troubled and uncomfortable as Rin tugged on his work uniform skirt and walked slightly awkwardly in his one inch heels. "How do girls get used to these things?" he said as his heel caught in a hole in the floor for a second. "But I have to admit, it is kind of nice and breezy" he noticed as he felt a slight bit of cool in the heat of the day. Arriving at the little bookshop he works in, he saw his boss, Enikku Aironedojju, quite a young man, so he didn't feel much need for formalities. "Your two minutes late...again" the boss said in a calm but irking tone with a raised eyebrow and a smirk on his face. Rin already irritated retaliated "Eh? It wouldn't be so hard to get here in time if I didn't have to walk all the way here in there damn heels! Curses! My feet are killing me!...And It's two damn stinking minutes! Are the books going to rearrange themselves out of order in that time, hmm?!". Enikku, clearly amused, yet surprised by Rins' outspoken attitude replied "They're only one inch heels you know, and you’re a girl, shouldn't you be used to it?", Rin murmuring under his breath, "you try wearing them...men just don't understand what women go through...Damn those oblivious men" ironic considering Rin is really a man. "Huh? What's that Rin?". Rin responded with a violent and intimidating look through his scarlet eyes that clearly showed he wasn't going to repeat himself. Enikku ignored his look, which actually looked a lot cuter than expected, considering Rins' new face and body. "My you really have a sharp tongue, are you sure you’re a girl?' Blood shot through Rins’ head from shock causing him to look like he was having a deep blush. Enikku seeing his face commented, "Oh, what's this? Blushing? You’re embarrassed? Guess I was wrong.", Rin having thoughts of wringing his boss' neck "Don't get the wrong idea, who'd be embarrassed by you?" he says while pouting. Enikku giggled, Rin really was amusing! "And you really shouldn't be talking to me with such a bad attitude, I am your boss after all you know?", Rin ignored him and went off to do his job.....

Night fell and Rins’ job for the day was over. Putting his coat on and exiting the bookshop, he began on his way back home. It was a little colder than usual that night, and he grabbed onto and wrapped his coat around him tighter. Passing through the park, full of vividly green trees and the strong smell of the flowers emitting their sweet fragrance in the night that were was pleasing to his senses. As he stopped to take a sniff, he took notice of a bird that stopped in its tracks, only two meters away from Rin. He decided to approach it, it didn't move away. He took a good look at it, it wasn't an ordinary bird, maintaining a proud and stern stance, it stood a few inches tall (ordinary height for a bird), feathers jet-black, so dark, and shiny the moon reflected on it, and white stripes, one running all through its back and tail like a skunk, and two vertical parallel stripes on his left wing, stripes that stood out excessively. He came closer and looked into its eyes, what a strange color, deep gem like amethyst eyes . So odd, he foolishly came closer, the eyes were so glossy, almost lens like. At Now inches away from the irregular bird, not thinking he put a finger out like a child and attempted touching it, "CAW!", the bird loudly reciprocated. It startled Rin and he came to his senses. "Hehe, sorry" Rin apologizes as he rubs the back of his neck. "I've never seen a bird like you before", he says as he's crouched down in front of the bird. "Are you hungry?", "Caw!" this time in a friendlier tone. Rustling through his backpack, he finds a smashed up turkey sandwich. "Ugh... I forgot about this... It's all I could find, will you eat it?". The bird clearly was anticipating the meal and had no sign of rejection so he went for it. "Oh wait, you’re a bird, right? I guess you don't want the turkey part then, you probably only want the bread so I'll get that out for you. Removing the insides of the sandwitch that were now in his hand, the bird swooped and swallowed it all in one gulp! The turkey and vegetables, and everything! A blue faced and shocked Rin with the bread still in his other hand, "Ah? Eh?"..."Do you still want this?" pointing to the bread. A happy "Caw!" <3 indicated it did and it began tearing away at the bread. "My you’re a hungry fellow! I've never seen a bird eat that fast! And you ate turkey and veggies too!". "Do you have a name? Wait... why am I asking you...you're a bird and can't talk...How about I give you one...um..." He tries to think hard of one; he notices an ad for a company in a poster on the night post that read "Suteppo electronics". I'll call you Suteppo! But that sort of sounds like a family name so I'll give you a first name too... um.." He hears a child giggling from a distance and its mother yelling "Raitto! Come back here! Don't run off in the night!". "Suteppo Raito! And Ritto for short!". The area completely empty and now only the crickets could be heard, "It's getting pretty late... I guess I better head home. See you around Ritto". He turned his back and walked away. Moments later, now nearing his home, he dropped his bag by accident and turned to pick it up. Standing up he noticed Ritto on the night post behind him. "You're still here? How come I didn't notice you?". The bird flew to him and sat on his shoulder. "I guess you’re not planning on leaving anytime soon. Fine, you can come home with me, what have I got to lose? Besides, feeding you should be easy since you seem to pretty much eat anything and my idiot roommate wouldn't really care... But once I live in the dorms your gone, okay? Got it?" Rin says as he approaches his current living place.

Rin looked around and unlocked the door and immediately realized something was very, very wrong here. It was clean, not just everything shoved under the couch clean but truly clean, Rin muttered to himself "In all the time vie lived here not one has Hokku bothered to throw away a soda can, I guess what they say is true, it takes a woman to get things done..."
He had an idea then, He would go for a jog.

He made sure his new little winged friend was comfortable got into some old jogging clothes and pulled his hair back into a ponytail, like he had started doing when he changed into "New Rin". As he jogged a few blocks he was able to clear his head of all that had been happening since he had picked up that stupid flyer. He stopped after a while to grab a drink from a vending machine, and just as he out his dollar in and pushed the button he felt something whiz past his ear, he didn’t react but instead got his bottle out the machine and only then did instinct win over thirst and throw him behind a car in time to see a barrage of bullets sail over head. Panicking he looked franticly around for his attacker when he had a sudden burst of inspiration, he crouched down and dashed inside the nearest shop, the book store he worked for, Mr. Enikku was closing up.

"Rin? What are you doing back so-"

"I don’t have time for this, do you have an extra uniform here?"

"Yes, I always have one in the back but why-"

"I need it NOW!" He had never seen Rin act like this and it kind of was freaking him out so he went back and found an extra uniform.

"What’s wrong? Why do you need-"

"Shut up and listen this is EXTREMLY important?" Rin whispered harshly as he started to change into the uniform right there much to his bosses embarrassment. "If anyone asks about me you don’t now who I am and have never seen me in your life. I’m Amy a girl from out of town who is helping you close up here while I am visiting for some pocket money." Rin then turned and pretended to be checking the books.

Mr. Enikku shrugged and continued to check the register. Just as he got back to work, a tall bland man walked in, he seemed perfectly normal until you noticed the way his eyes never stayed on one thing but were constantly darting like a lizard. He walked up and said he was looking for his daughter, who he had been arguing with until she had ran away, he then proceeded to describe "New Rin" in precise detail and ask if he had seen "her". Luckily he stuck to the script and soon they man left with a magazine and more questions.

Rin heaved a huge sigh of relief as his boss rushed across the room and grabbed him by the arm.

"What have you gotten yourself, and now me into!" he thundered.

"Well you see-" stuttered Rin nervously. Satisfied he was going to answer Mr. Enikku let go so he could to scowl better at him. Rin took the chance and escaped.

"- I can’t explain right now, but ill bring back the uniform and some answers tomorrow, Thanks for the help." Rin then grabbed his old clothes and dashed into the night.

He watched Rin leave then sighed heavily and finished locking up.

Rin was back at the apartment making a snack before the fact that someone(s) was trying to kill him finally sunk in. Rin turned and ran to the door checked all the locks and shoved a few chairs in front of the door for good measure. He delayed moving claiming he was sick and didn’t go to school for four days. Hitomi got worried, Rin always got angry or upset easily, but he never stayed upset for this long, when she let herself in Rin almost knocked her out with a baseball bat.

"Rin, what the hell was that for!" Hitomi yelped as the bat came just inches away from smashing her face

"Oh...Hitomi didn’t know it was you." Rin put on a fake smile but Hitomi just kept staring at him and he winced.

"So who was that for?" she said in an eerily quiet voice, the calm before the storm.

"Oh.....Um....It’s nothing Himi-chan, just been a little jumpy lately."
Hitomi seemed to think that didn’t deserve a reply, Rin kind of agreed it sounded pathetic to his own ears. Hitomi then without warning or hesitation punched Rin in the face and followed it up by slamming him in the wall and pinning him there. Rin had been practicing self-defense but he would never mach Hitomi’s superhuman ability. She suddenly dropped her voice and whispered

"Why haven’t you been to school in so long? Huh? Why haven’t you been answering your phone? The last time your boss saw you, you looked like hell, your roommate says you he hasn’t dared talk to you, but.....none of this is the problem, do you know what is?

"....No.."

"The problem is you won’t talk to me!" Hitomi practically screamed the last few words.

I...I thought we were best friends, Why won’t you talk to me? You were always sort of closed off but it’s never been this bad...You wouldn’t speak to me about anything that was happening to you anymore, and then suddenly you just...disappear."

Rin suddenly got the feeling this wasn’t about a few missed days anymore so he tried to placate her.

"I’m sorry Hime-chan, I just needed some time to think, a lots been happening lately..." Too late Rin realized his mistake.

"Well its time to think fast, because you’re going to tell me all about it." She sat down at the table and just stared at him...

Rin sighed and sat down and started explaining about the attack.


After some time.....

Everything was getting worser, worser than worse, as Hitomi and Rin started giving out suggestions and comments, but still Hitomi didn't really think that anyone would like to 'kill' Rin, after all Rin never made anyone hold a grudge on him, and never, as in NEVER did he hold a grudge on anyone.

"I already told you someone wants to kill me------!!!" Rin said loudly then Hitomi replied back, "I really don't think you'll be killed....I mean whats the worry for---?" Hitomi said rather low but calm as ever, seating in front of Rin with her chin resting on her left arm.

"It's because you never had an experience about this!!" Rin growled, rather angryly, while Hitomi just stared at Rin, rather unhappy, I mean, who wouldn't be unhappy with a person shouting his lungs out, because of just this.......?

Hitomi gently raised her head and sighed, "Can't you at least calm down just for a while---?" Hitomi said rather bored and tired but was still in shape to speak and listen to Rin's problem, "Err.... Um.... Yeah, sorry, I didn't mean to yell at you......." Rin said while scratching the back of his head.

"Well now that you have calm down lets just say I have an idea to prevent you for you assasinator~" Hitomi said with a wink, as Rin's expression turned from nervous into confusion, "Whats that....?" Rin said while raising his left brow, "Well--" Hitomi cutted her words then started fidgeting both her index finger, then looked at Rin then back at her fidgeting fingers.

There was a brief pause but Rin didn't mind, after all Hitomi is still thinking of it when Hitomi suddenly spoke, "---I think you should go back to school.....but this time with m-me.....umm.....at you side........" Hitomi said nervously as a small pinkish blush formed on her cheeks.

Rin waited for some more words to form from Hitom, but Hitomi just sat there----rather nervous----Rin then swallowed hard, as he felt the room had the atmosphere of awkwardness and nervousness in the room, as both Rin and Hitomi just sat there-----quiet but thank the silentness as both got the time to think.

Rin thanked the gods that he was still able to speak with Hitomi even after the event that almost teared there friendship apart. Silently thinking Rin thought-----
