| Senior Member | Wow, nobody has made a tread for American Idol yet, so I guess I will. What do you think of the show and the winners of American Idol? I think the shows ok but after the 4th season it got boring for me. <3 Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood & Jordon sparks

| My brother just tried out for American Idol yesterday. What a lot of people don't know is that performing in front of the judges isn't actually the first round. The first rounds are completely random, which is why both good people and people who suck make it in front of the judges. Although I heard if you have an interesting story they are more likely to let you pass (this is just a rumor I heard, not confirmed). In the end the judges see maybe 50 people or so per city. My mom was watching the first-round auditions, and she confirmed that it seemed random because she saw them pass on people who were pretty good. However, she noticed that people who were wearing cowboy stuff (boots, hats, etc.) were all getting passes to the next round. Now, I bet that when they show our city's auditions (Glendale, Arizona) they will talk about how a lot of people were wearing cowboy outfits, when in reality, it was only people who were wearing cowboy outfits that would get a pass. |
