BORING!

frankly, i'm quite serious. I started reading it a long time ago... then got bored out of my mind then stopped. After a while, started reading again cuz i had nothing left.... then now I'm stopping again. I don't think i'll pick it up again. Seriously.... it's boring.

I dont really know what part of this manga makes me bored... I don't know if it's the completely unrealistic physics of the manga... or even more unrealistic phyche of the characters... or idiotic nature/ignorance of the male protagonist (ikki)... or even greater idiotic nature/ignorance of the female protagonist (ringo) with her completely naive and blind philosophy on being a "guardian"... or the most rediculous "sensor system" toul-tool-to uses with thing they wear on their body and hugging while (almost) naked (seriously, wtf? it just defies all logic for the sole puropse of being ecchi - and has somewhat of rape kind of feeling [unwanted nudity] for me which is also a down side for me)... or maybe it's the fault of completely unrealistic view of the timeline (people talking about things 5~10 years ago as if it's a 1000yr old legend)... or lastly, it might be the fault of extreme long and winded battles that never end like dragonball and naruto.

What ever the reason is... it's really boring for me. I don't get why this manga is so popular and highly rated. That's just my 2 cents.

hmmm actually i feel somewhat similar to your man >_> The whole thing just made stop reading it and i didn't know which one made me stop either.... hmm.... I stopped around chapter 170 i think, around that part it was getting too long i think and everything was getting absurd with all the characters from the past coming back (way before ikki's time).

i like air gear but i kinda agree with u the fights are way 2 drawn out

I like that they take the time to portray the detail of the fights and stuff..i really dont mind. However the one thing i dont like is the lack of seriousness in this manga, but overall i still like it a lot.

lack of seriousness? I think it's rather over done - same goes for most japanese manga. It's like they're riding skate boards!! Can you possibly imagine some bunch of skateboarders going around and killing each other preaching safety/freedom?

There should be a line in there saying "chill out dude..." The subject is riding A-T, a sports equipment. We're not talking about guns or weapons of mass distruction. We're talking about something like a rollerblades.

and that is why this is a manga and not real life, cuz its made up. So get over how its not realistic.

Maybe I'm buying into it or something, but isn't it because it's NOT like other sports that it's like that? Yeah, it is a little exagerated (especially with Sora) but it's a sport that is illegal, can go very high (and right there has the potential for injuries) and is a very extreme sport with a lot of extreme fans. Things get hyped up, and tada, to some extent.
...and I seem to have lost my train of thought.

I am a fan of air gear but, yes recently it has become quite boring and hard to understand. it seem to be just jumping around alot. Its good but i dont think it deserves 5 stars on the rating board.
