just recently i went back and read all of the mangas i could find, i found a conetion between rukia and gonjo, the connetion being that rukia killed gonjo's brother, which was also her lutinent, who was turned in to a hollow, and therefore she had to kill him, he shows up later on in los noaches and fights rukia, maybe there will be a new development to this connection, also this guy looks alot like ichigo just with dark hair their could be some thing there as well, but who knows. we'll i'd like to hear what you think.

no man, this is way off. Yes, Ganju is indeed the brother of Rukia's
lieutenant, Shiba Kaien, but that is where all of the relations end.
Kaien was not hollowfied, as in not turned into a Vaizard. he was
"consumed" by a hollow who's unique ability was to "infest" the
body of someone. When Rukia killed him, and he went back to
Hueco Mundo, he retained Kaien's memory and ability, using it to
fight against Rukia when becoming the ninth espada, Aaroneiro
Aarrurie. (forgive the spelling, i know thats terrible.) therefore,
Kaien never turned into a hollow, the hollow turned into Kaien,
be careful not to get this confused.

as for Shiba Kaien looking like Kurosaki Ichigo, this is most likely
a play on Rukia, who had a sort of "relationship" with both of
them. (not in a romantic way, work with me here people. haha )

Mostly right there, Myname, with one daunting exception: Kaien Shiba was Ukitake's Lieutenant, and Rukia was his subordinate, though she was not, and if I'm not mistaken, has never been, a Lieutenant. Byakuya blocked all chances for Rukia's promotion up the ladder... in order to save her from dying (ironically enough).

(As I write this, Never Meant to Belong is playing on my computer, what are the odds?:-)

Also, did you know that Renji Abarai was once Aizen's Lieutenant?

I don't remember anything about Renji being Aizen's Lt, I was just pretty sure he got transfered from 5th to the 11th division and then finally to 6th. I.E., he got dumped out of 5th before moving up anywhere. I think I read somewhere....(grr can't remember) he was like 6th? seat in 11th but he was really a hand full in 5th.

Yeah, where'd you read that? Aizen would've sent him off first chance he got, probably when Renji became a seated officer; wherefrom we can assume he went to the 11th division and then ended up with 6th division under WolvenLordSoulReaper, I mean Byakuya! ( just kidding, its just your avatar and signature! ha ha)

I think the similarity of Ichigo and Kaien is just to put the emphasis on why Rukia at the very beginning would risk EXECUTION for Ichigo- in her mind here was a chance to save 'Kaien'!

thats funny, because Renji means "big idiot with hidden obsession, lame

renji is not aizen lieutanant. gin is.
yeah his bankai is getting boring. i 'm more interested to see the other characters bankai: vizards, urahara, isshin, aizen and those captains whose bankai have not yet been shown. oh and of course the 1st 4 espadas ressurected forms. gin bankai has not yet been shown right?
