It's derived from the name of a real life designer of somesort according to Kubo.

soul_society: BLEACH character name list + meanings

That live-journal page has a lot on names, but Ulquiorra's and some of the Arrancars' have been a bit ambiguous anyway (most seem Spanish, but theres some Italian or French, etc. ones mixed in as well sometimes)

slang form of the Spanish language...is this wrong? forgive me,

Kubo's really big on literary motifs, although he doesn't stick to them. >_< The technical repertoire of Hollows, and the arrancar in particular, are Spanish or Spanishize. But most of their names are actually non-Spanish in form (Schiffer, Oderschvank, Stark, Grimmjow) because they're suppose to be just derivation and/or corruption of real life names of architects and designers.

Mexicans speak Spanish with differences in accent and word choice, but it is Spanish.

I've heard of these designer namesakes thing too. Names like Schiffer, Stark, Oderschvank (<--which somehow doesn't really sound right...) are more Germanic than anything.

Coming to Chad, you reckon he might have some 'Praise Inoue- Reality Rejector' (<---pissed off a lot of people with that one) -type power too? We saw it grow, only to be shot down by Mr 'I-like-Nel- but-I-don't-want-to-so-I'm-just-going-to-cook-up-a-plan-to-get-rid-of-her'; but he mentioned it was similar to hollow powers more than anything too. Inoue and Chad's powers are pretty interesting...

ahhh so are u coming over to the "queen orihime" side yasiru? lol. yea chad's more hollow like and orihimie's more like a shinigami. i still say those spirits are her zanpaktou. it can be argued that since the hairpin is a physical object that it's not true. but orihime is also alive and is ALWAYS in her body, no spirit form like itsygo. so maybe she needs something to focus on to make her zanpaktou materialize. i think ulquiorria translates to "mr. mime" in kudotitian... go ahead...WIKI IT!!!
lol i was just bored

damn I should've worded that more carefully...

Ok here's a compromise- if you want an Inoue = Royalty theory how about Princess Orihime instead? Well actually we can drop the Princess part and say Orihime since hime means princess! Back to square one!

ha ha!
and Chad will learn the 'Unlimited Teabag Volley' attack... er... (Chado=tea)!
(this is a play on Unlimited Blade Works from Fate/Stay Night)

ok I'll admit- I was bored too... And beware Theinen Ulquiorra's No.1 fan myname_989 might hunt you down!ROTFL
