|  I Reject! I reject the theory that "everyone gets powers from Ichigo's riatsu." IIRC, Orihime got her powers after she was almost killed by her Hollowed-Bro, so I always thought the two were connected. Her Spiritual recognition was strengthened by the attack, and the hairpins were a gift from her brother that will protect her from now on. "It's a big Brother's duty to protect his younger siblings", as Ichigo says, so it seems like more than a coincidence that her brother's gift protects her... Although it would be cool if he just happened to have purchased them at Urahara's shop...Though, if they were created by anyone there, it would have been Tessai, since they are Kido objects. As for Chad, I'm digging the "Hispanic-version-of-Quincy" theory. Why do Quincies monopolize human defense against Hollows? You would think that other spiritually-sensitive people around the world could've developed their own defenses and passed those unique abilities down through the generations. Even before his right arm was powered up, Chad was superhumanly strong and need some good grandfatherly guidance. Perhaps his Abuelo sensed Chad's power but couldn't properly explain it because the abilities had skipped a few generations and the full info was lost with time... And as for Ichigo's other friends (not to mention Karin) I hope they have insomnia (from squad 4's forced sleep) and we get to see them in the winter war!

| I have a problem believing that Keigo and Tatsuki have no powers at all....it doens't really make sense, Tatsuki's been around Ichigo the longest, I think, and Keigo seems really friendly with him

| keigo would develop power similar to a shingami due to 11th squad dudes comin to their place but tatsuki would develop more hollow like powers cos like chad they both had encounters with hollows hers being inoue's brother and chads power is "similar" to a hollow's cero the reason for this is cos he actuly fought the hollow when inoue just got knocked outa her body which would make her see ghosts and they dont develop powers from just standing by them they develop powers by being smothered in his spiritual pressure when hes fighting

Only Chad and Inoue were in the right sort of circumstance with Ichigo to develop powers! The best argument for something other than Ichigo may be that; they had some sort of power tendency from the beginning (plug in the Queen Orihime theory here), and Ichigo simply awakened it! But as I've said there's a great deal more to support Ichigo gave rise to them without any innate assistance, so I leave you to be the judge! | |
