i was just wondering who do u think ichigo really is?!? there are certain hypothesis that he is the next king of soul society.... there is also one that he is from the shiba clan...

some say he is only half/substitute shinigami >mostly b'coz his dad is a shinigami and his mother is human< ,,, some say that he is a pure shinigami >because they say both of his parents are shinigami<

i'm really curious about this...

its just so intrigiung to know who or what ichigo really is... also because his powers keep improving and he keeps on breaking or passing his own limitations..

so, what do u guys think?!?

I really think the only reasons that he's considered a "substitute shinigami" are:
1.) He's not dead yet
2.) He does not belong to any of the 13 Squads
3.) He's too useful to NOT put to work.

I agree- the Substitute Shinigami badge is just that, a political badge! And is it really fair to go all 'Harry Potter' on this? There's no such thing as a half-blood Shinigami, as far as I can tell ANYONE can become a Shinigami after death, so long as they don't suck balls at Shinigami academy and stay under the radar so as not to get killed by Kenpachi before making seated officer! Ha ha!

As for Ichigo I really hope he isn't the next King or something- that'd be kinda (read 'really') sucky!

I think Zaraki was captain at the time of Pendulum too, it just seems so. And for all we know Isshin may not be a Captain-Captain, he could be something like Tessai, who's the kido captain; or he could be an old captain who was in the Royal Guard afterward like the theories go!

Theinen- are you talking about him trying to catch Ichigo offguard in the opening sequence of the fillers? that IS funny!

well...theoretically speaking.

Ichigo = off spring from a human and a soul in a gigai

now that means the urahara makes some realistic gigai, but that only means he inherited isshun's soul not physical body, since that technically isnt isshun's physical body unless urahara custom-ed tailored it to every gene and dna.

which explains how ichigo has naturally orange hair.....he hes not really human...

Again, then wouldn't he have done the same when Ichigo and Misaki were in trouble? Or at the very beginning when Yuzu and Karin were? I think he's somehow been 'humanified' (is that a word?)- how could he have kids otherwise? Hey I know maybe the Substitute Shinigami badge Ichigo has was originally Isshin's! Or not....

And please- no freaking 'pure blood' talk- this ain't Harry freaking Potter! Grand Fisher meant something different when he spoke of Ichigo, it only had any weight because Ichigo's is an odd case where he's still alive but a Shinigami!

that weird. so the same theory go for both his sisters? and soul in gigai=actual human male( in terms of being able to generate offspring)?? that really interesting. how does urahara make that factor work?
note: i not thinking dirty here!!! it just that it really weird. how does it work? oh well but i don't think kubo will give us the answer.
