Default Arranged Marriages for Nobles

Okay, before you shoot me, I know it's filler.

But if the current anime arc's noble laws hold true in canon, it puts a very interesting spin on the "Isshin is a Shiba" theory, because avoiding an arranged marriage is plenty of motivation to defect from the Soul Society, which he probably found stuffy and intolerable to begin with, thanks to being a noble and all.

It also puts a whole new perspective on Byakuya's marriage to the commoner Hisana.

What do you guys think?

if Isshin is from the Shiba clan then i have a feeling he left for another reason thus this is the reason why the Shiba Clan is no longer considered to be a part of the 5 Noble Houses (now 4 Noble Houses)

Michael Bluth: You were still taking that? You had Buster thirty-two years ago.
Lucille: And that's how long I've been depressed about him.

If the theory (Isshin is a Shiba) is right, then its probably circumstances like that which led to Isshin giving up his Shinigami status and being with Masaki.
But I'm not sure about the theory (though I may've advocated it at times).

Coming to the arranged marriage matter- nobles usually DO have that sort of 'close-knit' marriages (from the Egyptians onwards at least), so Byakuya must really have loved Hisana!
Maybe KT should do a special chapter or something- 'Byakuya in love'.
Its pretty sad, you meet people (maybe even for a second time) in Soul Society, only to find out things don't last there either. Dead people die again, and probably so ad infinitum... I can see why people want an eternally blissful heaven- but perhaps reality is closer to what Soul Society's like...
I'm getting into the mythos too much... must fight it! Yeah, well, SS is rather sad for me.
