I have two theories on this matter.

The first is that souls age and die normally in SS unless they have spirital power. Meaning the nobody's outside that could never become a Shinigami have normal life spans. While the Shinigami have normal life spans until their spiritual power awakens (usually around puberty age) and then you start a slower life span.

The second theory is similar, but that those with strong spiritual power can choose to stall their aging to a limited degree. This would mean you would want to grow to your peak, and then put a spot on things, but eventually time will take it's course, or you will want to let yourself age a bit in order to gain an appearance that reflects your age better (like yamamoto) instead of trying to explain all the time to someone that looks the same age as you, that you are way older.

Although it might be nothing like this, and it's all about your personality, and if you act young like a child, you stay young like a child, but then Hitsugaya would be quite the flaw in that as he has had the kid appearence for like atleast 40 years if I am remembering correctly momo, renji and the rest started training back then. Which kind of makes me think that the first theory I had is the strongest, and the amazing thing about Hitsugaya is his engery is so strong so young in life.

But in truth, I am not sure we will see a soild "rule" for this as I think this falls into the creative expresion of our author, and while he might have some ideas why it works that way, I doubt they are set in concrete as we do know no one seems to be worrying about death from old age in SS.

Alright, after the last chapter posted, I'm a little bit worried about which side are the vizards.
One moment they train Ichigo and says that they owe Uharaha their lives and then the next, they say they owe Aizen! I'm confused, they are not on the same side!

And when Aizen said that they didn't need to to anything for the shinigamis to be defeated, does that means that the vizards are going to fight for him?

Am I the only one confused?

did they really say the they "owe aizen"? after all, aizen was the one who started the hollowfication. (am i right? since if i ever is not, then tell me!)

EDIT: sorry, he actually did.. Then i wonder why!

vaizard are not on soul societys side or aizens side, they are on theyre own, they said they owe aizen because without him they wouldnt have thier powers....is it just me or are people just not paying attention when they read anymore...idiots >_<

I thought it was clear they are going to fight for Ichi-co.

Besides: 8 captains/Lts. do NOT = top 3 Espada+ Fraction even with the three traitor captains being held at bay. If the 8 Vizards fight for the captains, it might even out a little

Oh, and Ichigo's Dad, Ishida's Dad, Urahara, Yoroichi and Tessai are probably going to help too, so maybe the Vizards COULD fight for Aizen, but it's still not likely.

While it should not really pose that much of a problem, or perhaps that is somehow part of someone's plan somewhere.. but are the Vizards in the real world, or are they with the real K-town in SS?

Ideas?

Well, they did say they would put everyone to sleep in the town before they moved them, and i highly doubt that the vizards would get slept easily, especially with the big pink guy and his barrier around the place. So i would assume for storyline's sake, they were able to remain in the real world. Or they might be in SS if they r on Aisen's side cuz they did say they owed it to him for becoming vizards in the first place; they could be his insurance that the key job gets done. I would think that Aisen would know that the captain commander would have the town protected in some way, and he could have easily guessed they would do the swap up tactic. So, if the vizards really are siding with Aisen then they could be in SS to wreck havoc while all the top dogs are in the real world to defend the aisen front. But idk if the vizards would want to destroy SS unless they truly have become empathetic to either side.
