Narutokun, you need a spoiler for that long summary of yours. Kyoraku was beaten because he was taken by surprise, this was supported by Ukitake. I mean come on, Kusaka didn't even allow him to finish talking long enough to draw his zanpaktou. And what a shock it'd be to be hit by a fellow captain's attack when it's not them wielding it. And it's not that everyone backed out because Ichigo was strongest, but he was the fastest. Now that still speaks volumes of how they view him. Oh and worst of all, SS and the Central 46, keep ending up looking like the bad guys because their strong military views. Not to mention the underlying dogma they keep placing on important issues, like oh, two shinigami wielding the same zanpaktou. Old man Yamamoto, is a good guy, but he is a General in this jaded army, he has no choice but to follow/enforce the rules.

Okay all valid points. But still, isn't the General supposed to give out orders that seem justified? From a certain standpoint, if you do not care about anything other than your objective, then okay, great, let's go kill Hitsugaya and his friend. But humans are rarely so clean-cut and unemotional. With a million shinigami who have emotions and one that doesn't, what would be the right choice. They are given the right to be captains because they have proven their worth to the Soul Society, correct? They are the most capable of doing what needs to be done. If I was Yamamoto, I would have had some faith in my fellow captains to do the right thing. Aizen may have rattled his cage, but I have a feeling this has been going on for a long time. As for Kyoraku's battle, maybe it was a bit of both. I've calmed down now, I wrote that up right after watching the movie. And I really love Hitsugaya. And about the Central 46, do you read Naruto? In Naruto, the elders of the village had a clan exterminated because they were upset with their behavior. They murdered a clan! Doesn't that seem evil. And the fact that a governing body should interpret the rules, like I hope our government does, is why I view the 46 as evil. They don't care what the outcome of their actions will be a year, or a decade, or a century from now. All they care about is making sure they follow their precious laws, which to be honest, all suck. Can you see what I'm getting at here?

WOW... I had typed quite a bit on more of my thoughts, but the sensitivy of my touchpad seems to have erased them . Moreover, I see where your coming from. And I also see where the General comes from. I'm already biased to the Central 46 and other military minds like them so no use continuing on that rant. The General is the leader, he's the harbinger of the rules/laws, in his case if he doesn't follow them who will(Byakuya quote, I know)? Just in his case, he feels so strongly about it to despise all in opposition/defiance of the rules.

Oh and you can't compare the Central 46 to Naruto's elders, because the elders slaughtered the Uchiha out of fear there was never a prescendent.

Okay fine. No elder and 46 comparison then. By the way, I was curious, what did you think about Ichigo in the movie? He had a big message at the end there. And I also shortened my original post. Happy?

I thought it was refreshing, even though it was ODD coming from him. Wisdom isn't only gained through age though, so it didn't really change my view of the movie. And you didn't have to change your post.
