Yeah! i love that part where Allen plays Tyki! i also love that part because i found Crowley really funny XD he just went down the train and then he wasn't back for ages so they went off to look for him and then found him down to his boxers playing poker! >< that was the best! especially the murderous look Allen gave them when they were playing him! i miss Tyki soooo much too, oh, i miss his grin oh and rhode! it sucks that they're gone!

yeah, i know the akuma and the noah would never have a fight, that would just be like annihilation of the earl's precious monsters XD but i definattely think that the akuma get jealous of the noahs, like you do. The noah, in my opinion seem to treat humans with a slightly more respect than the akuma, the exorcists too! and they're enemies! so it shows how much the noah thought they were inferior, but i think rhode was nice to them, so thats good, but ur right, she was completely wacko, so maybe they all hate the akuma, i dont know XD

wow thats cool about the christianity thing, i used to go to sunday school too, but then my parents divorced and she married someone who is non-christian, so i didnt go to church much after that XD our family is more of a pagan too XD but i'm not really overly religious

i love lero too, him and Rhode were a really good comedy couple, but lero jumps sides a couple of times, its really funny when he's in the ark with them XD i want to see lero again, but he must have been sad when rhode and tyki died =( poor lero. I think that the image of the earl and lero should be at the end of the manga, even if the exorcists do win ><

I suppose the fans aren't really fangirls you're right XD i'm surprised there weren't any lynchings actually, but then they must be too absorbed by the story at the moment to realise that hes died XD plus almost everyone watches the anime, and thats like only just at the point before they get into the ark after japan, so maybe they're just slow lol. but they're are definately fangirls for allen and kanda XD

I'm just not the biggest fan of Crowley. (I actually like the akuma he loved better than he.) But that moment in the train was pretty funny.

I hope the mangaka provides some new awesome Noahs or at least interesting ones. The plot has gone so far from that arc and style that perhaps the mangaka has shifted his/her interests, but I don't know. I know manga change a great deal as their plots go on (if they're this long) but usually the essential character of the manga remains the same throughout. I don't think this one has; and I'm not particularly fond of the new character. But now I'm so wrapped up in the fate of the characters (and want to see what they're going to do with the new Tiki) that I'll keep reading.

Thus far, it has not gotten bad like Deathnote did. I loved that series until the pivotal moment (if you haven't read it, I won't spoil it) and then after didn't like the new plot arc they introduced. (If you haven't read it, you should; and you'll know when you get to "the moment'.)

Your discussing the Noahs and akuma reminded me of something: I believe the akuma have been described as the Earl's tools or death machines or something. So, the view of the Noahs is only them understanding that the akuma aren't really anything special, just instruments of the Earl. If I'm mistaken about that, my bad. If I'm correct, I'd now think that the Earl intends to repopulate the world with descendants of Noah once the humans were wiped out.

That would be ironic in biblical terms because God used the Flood to wipe out the sinful humans from the world, and then allowed the descendants of Noah's family to repopulate it. Rhode, when talking to Allen, said that she and the other Noahs are the chosen people of God and that they are working to carry out his will - and that the Exorcists are evil. So, essentially the Earl wants to do the same thing that God did.

I don't remember Lero jumping sides. There were several times when he seemed to like Allen, but he always felt guilty about that and never really liked Exorcists in general. So, he was like Rhode: on the Earl's side the entire time, but with traitorous sympathies. ^_~

I wonder how it is with the manga vs the anime: How many people are watching the anime before (or instead of) reading the manga. Obviously, the manga has enough of an audience, but it would be interesting to see how many are watching the manga.

A new thought: I wonder how the other characters Innocences will evolve. I mean, Allen's has gone through 1. hand / claw 2. cannon 3. awesome spiffy claw + sword + clown cloak w/ belt. Surely the other generals started out like Allen, and they must have stopped evolving since they're above 100% synch; and once you reach that, there is no reason to evolve further since you're already fully in tune with your Innocence. But I wonder how Rinali's Innocence will have evolved once she resynchs. We know that it will be parasitic, but I wonder how it will appear. (We won't have to wait long to know either...)

I'm translating Greek for uni. I like the language a great deal, but right now we're translating Thucydides, and he's a really boring historian and the Greek is very difficult. I've chosen this field, but sometimes I'm just fed up with it.

If anything I hated Cross Marian because he was a freaking bastard hiding from everyone then come out of nowhere with his two innocence thining he the man SCREW HIM(but his innoncence is hard as stuff though LOL), then before that when they took allen's arm away and left him unable to fight that was bull crap as well, then the fact that lenalee lost her dark boots, and even worst she lost her hair and if they turn her into a freakin fallen by her drinking her innoncene i'm going to throw my computer out the window....but then again they probaly change her to some big looking thingy like helvabaska was and her hair will grow back but longer and though cool will be very very crazy, oh and fuck the noahs(except Tiki Miki he cool), oh and above everything else FUCK THAT EARL I HATE HIM SOO MUCH

Of course i'm not bored with the thread! the only reason i haven't replied for a while is that i've been staying with someone who hasn't got a computer, XD so please don't get the wrong ideas i'm not getting bored or anything like that ^^

XD anyways back to d.grayman, i loved the last noahs, they all had their own characters and they weren't your typical villains you usually find in most mangas. I hope that they have some good noahs too, but then isn't the 13th noah the highest it can go? so would that mean that they only have a chance to add 6 more possible noahs? or are there also noahs with numbers after 13? it would be sad if it was only up to 13, but then i suppose anymore and the manga might go on forever XD i mean jas + debi, tyki, rhode, 13th, lightning dude and that new crappy one, so there's been quite a few already.

i read the first volume and a nit of death note, but haven't got around to reading it all yet, my friends been trying to get me to read it too XD so obviously i would know what happens at the very end >< lmao.

i think that your right, someone did refer to the akuma as the earls tools, and so i think your theory could be correct, i think that he's gonna repopulate the world somehow, either with akuma or noah (or something else *creepy music*) You thinking that the noahs will repopulate the earth, does that mean that you think there are more than 13 then? or am i being stupid and they are made every so often and the 13th noah was just the 13th one to be created? and tyki and rhode were like, the 27th or something?

XD yeah ur right, it is really ironic! i wonder if the mangaka knows that they're implying all this stuff or if its completely random, i suppose she'd have to know about it, but they are really deep and meaningful concepts that are hidden within the plot. That must be really hard to do, you'd have to be really sure that what your making isn't going to offend any religions and go through the story of noah, as well as others in loads of detail.

i suppose lero doesn't really switch sides your right, it just felt that way because he sometimes liked the exorcists and wasn't completely cold towards them, but yes, i think he'll always stay true to the earl, no doubt about that XD.

i think actually that most people are watching the anime first and once they hit the end of that they go for the manga, but i dont really know that many people who watch /read D.grayman, so i wouldn't really know, it would be interesting to see though.

yeah, in the last chapter it was really short and so we're going to have to wait for another week to find out what rinali's innocence is going to be like, i hate it when it ends on a really big cliff hanger, but theres more and more now, since the chapters are becoming shorter and shorter, theres probably going to be more to come as well T_T miranda, kanda and lavi could have interesting evolutions in their innocence as well, especially mirandas i think.

Ah, thats cool that ur doing greek in uni, i used to be really into greek mythology and stuff like that as well, but in order to do it in our school, you'd have to take latin and sounded really difficult at the time so i took spanish as my seconf=d language instead. That sucks about the boring topic you've got, i hate it when you have to choose a subject, and most of the time its really good until you get to the boring parts of a course and you can't complain about it, because you've chosen the subject yourself XD

Well, from what the Earl said about Tiki, and how he was waiting for the Desire Noah to change into whatever he is now, I think there are several different types of Noah, that continue to be recycled through rebirth. They told us too that Lightning Man was the Noah of anger, and Rhode of the Noah dreams. So, I don't know that there is a finite number, but if there is, they are reborn when they die or are killed. Thinking about that just now: Rhode could be reborn! I don't think she'd take the same form, but there might be another Noah of Dream, and that would be amazing. (The new sucky girl is the Noah of transformation - I think that's what they said.)

I have a feeling that the mangaka will make the Noahs just 13 in number since s/he made so much of the "13th Noah". I don't know if it'll be 6 more or 7 more though because Jas Debi could either be one or two. ^_^;

Your friends have spoiled the end of Deathnote?! That's horrible. I wasn't actually referring to the end regardless, unless they've also spoiled "the moment" and that would really suck. If they haven't, don't ask. I greatly enjoyed Deathnote because it is so much more well-thought-out than a lot of the titles I have read. The main characters are _really smart_ and clever and their reasoning is presented, and proves quite enjoyable. (The reasoning goes downhill after "the moment" but you have several volumes before it happens.)

But I do think the Earl's plan is to repopulate the world with Noahs once the humans are killed off. They'd presumably intermarry and then produce little Noah babies and thus repopulate the world. I imagine at that point, the Earl would destroy the akuma since their purpose would have been fulfilled. Oh, well, we won't see little Noah babies regardless.

I wonder myself how much the mangaka thinks things out, and if s/he is learned about the bible. S/he must have done some reading to come up with the concept of the Noahs and repopulating and such, but - as we can see - the mangaka twisted it to serve his/her purposes. I think it was quite clever how s/he changed it too. At other times, though, I wonder if I'm reading too much into certain manga titles. There are some social concepts you can be sure of reading because even if the mangaka isn't aware, they go into the work, but there are some that could only be the work of the mangaka, and you wonder if you're reading them correctly or if it was just chance.

I haven't looked around for other D Gray Man communities (save the MSN one, which sucks because the people there are really rude) so I don't know how widespread its popularity in the Western world is.

I'm mad that the chapters are getting shorter and shorter. I hadn't really thought about it until now, but it has been going on for some time. ARgh! At least - as far as I know - the mangaka doesn't go on breaks like CLAMP does.

I bet Lavi's evolution of his Innocence will prove quite interesting. I'm curious too if it will come to him in this battle (like Allen's did before) and he'll wield it against the Level 4. We'll have to see what happens with that and Rinali's boots soon. I can't imagine how Miranda's Innocence could evolve further. It hasn't really evolved thus far; she just changed its form, and I can't imagine it doing much more than just getting more powerful (perhaps changing things for reals, not just stopping time or reversing it?) They sort of cheated with her reversing time to recover the egg. You're not supposed to be able to undo anything lasting with the reversed time, unless they've changed the rules (they did! cheaters!).

Argh! Yet again are we unfulfilled with not knowing what form Rinali's Innocence will take. We really didn't need to know about her "ideal vision" and the oh-so-touching childhood she had with the Black Order. I also don't know where she's going; she's just taking in her Innocence and then she'll stay there and fight.

Buuut, I am glad Allen's back; and he looks so awesome with the Clown mask over his face. I hope it isn't true about the Innocence animating his body because that would mean Allen is almost completely gone (again). I guess we know he'll get near to death again so we shouldn't be surprised, but I still can't help worrying each time.

Dum dum dum... hopefully we'll get the Level 4 taken care of soon. I'm at least expecting to see Rinali's new Innocence in the next chapter.

Oh my god! that would be awesomely amazing if Rhode was reborn! but if they screwed her up, i'd get really pissed, like if they made her equivilent to the new girl, i'd have to hunt down the mangaka and torture her XD i forgot they had different types actually XD i don't pay attention to many details in mangas lol. i suppose the characters suit their rolesquite well, but it would be quite confusing in some ways to hav any of the previous noah being reborn. hmm...now that i think about it i wonder what the 13th noah was? because if allens a decendant of him, it would be a quality of Allen wouldn't it? so it could be his friendship, or loyalty or something, but then the noah are generally evil, so that doesn't tend to ork, unless the 13th noah was just a strangeling XD but i suppose with the rate the mangas progressing at the moment, i don'tthink we'll find out for a long time, it's really annoying! I also just want the level 4 to die and for it to all be over!

yeah, your right, jsdebi could be counted as one, so it depends, but i think that there are probably only going to be 13, this is also significant in the whole evil and bad luck side of the number 13.signifying that they are all evil, which they are XD

yeah, i know what you mean,i tend to breath a lot into mangas and books as well. It's ike with poems as well, with some of the best poems, anyone can interpret them in different ways and so the poem to one person could have a completely different meaning to even the poet, and the poet may not even have thought aspect of the poem, even though they wrote it.

Well on 'myanimelist.net' they've got at least 1000 more people who say they have watched the anime than the people who have reazd the manga, so i think its accurate, but i'm not sure ^^

yeah!i know! grrr!the chapters, i mean 16 pages!!! what did it starton? wasn't it something like 35 pages in the beginning? how the hell did it getdown to 16?!!! it's just stupid! but yeh i'm glad they don't go on breaks, or hiatuses like the riter of 'a thousand years of snow', that was purely annoying!

GAH! the last chapter was really stupid!!! and short and it just generally annoyed me! especially the part in the beginning where she's saying her perfect world, i mean, she wastes 7 pages or so, by just blabbering on about how much she loved her brother! they could have used dome of those precious pages for, like PLOT!!! although the part with allen in it was wesome!! but his innocence is forcing him to fight? thats really sad!! poor allen =( and don't worry about Allen, he won't die. Remember he's 'special' XD tho i am a bit worried, but at least we know he'll die looking really cool, with his clown mask over his face =D

I think you're correct about the Noahs that were defeated being weaker because the newest Noah, the transformation one, was much more powerful than the others were.
