I still can't decide if the Tiki scene is a flashback or not, but I don't think it is. They wouldn't have shown him with new hair, and had the people at the ball say something like, "It has been a long time," because there wouldn't have been any particular reason for Tiki to change his hair sometime in the past to what it was when we first saw him. So that's why I think the new hair indicates we're in contemporary time. Of course, we can't be certain. Tiki also seems more sinister, which would accord with his "white" side being gone. I miss it! T_T

You also said that Rhode seemed "off". She looked to me to just be wearing eye-liner, and she was drawn from a strange angle and in a strange position so that may account for the oddness. If this is the present time, I am sure she has changed in some way, as you say, but I don't know that a change was necessarily shown in this chapter. At least her personality doesn't seem to have changed thankfully. That's why I loved her so much before.

I think that all of the people at the ball are humans, save the few Noahs we saw, and am sticking to my theory that the Earl is leaving select people alive who are in his circle and will follow his leadership in the new world order. A bit of evidence: The woman says, "My daughter- this is her first time at a ball," and we have been told in the past (at Crowley's castle) that akuma cannot have children (Crowley's lover wanted one so bad, but it was the one thing she couldn't do as an akuma).

Just some thoughts, and to whichever of the two of you told me where the bit at Crowley's castle was: Thanks! It actually helped illuminate this chapter, as you saw.

P.S. The mangaka took Crowley's name and character from a historical figure if you didn't already know. I remembered the name when the chapter came out, and I think I commented again, but rereading those chapters reminded me of it.

I agree, i don't think that it was a flashback because they looked different and Tyki was black and not white Tyki, i miss his white form too! His Smexy grin is gone! >< *cries*

I don't know what i found wrong with road...maybe she was taller...but i think its something to do with her personality...i'm not sure...

That thing with the people at the ball, i thought that it could be a mother and child that could be turned into akuma...but that couldn't work...so i was just being ditsy XDD the people seemed to be human, but nothing ever seems to be as it is in D.Grayman so i can't be sure...

XDD I didn't realise he was a real person lol, he looks like such a freak! Yeah, the mangaka took only the name and "gothic" nature from the real A. Crowley. He's a legend and a name right up there with Waite (of Rider-Waite Tarot). I like our Crowley better.

We'll agree that the scene with Tiki was the present then, and we've met his new incarnation. It'll take some adjusting to his new appearance, and he won't ever be as hot as before, but I am sure that I'll fall in love *cough* lust *cough* with him eventually.

I didn't worry that Rhode had changed too much since I saw her sucking on a treat.

uhh..The tiki scene is in the present ok , but Road doesn't seem too different at all to me. The only thing i can sum up a theory on why she may look different to anyone is because he body did get destroyed remember by lavi stabbing her in the heart, and she looked like she self-destructed or something, then in like the next chapter she was back because one noah's can only be killed by innocence and two noah can only be kiled in their true form.
ohhh and she's in her white form so that's why she looks a bit different, her white side hasn't been seen since the rewinding town arc

Sooo anywho seeliespright you say that Eliade,Crowleies GF, wanted to have babies??? Too me it sounded like she wanted to have sex or something cuz she was like, I wanted to do something with you but i can't because i'm an akuma, and to me it sounded like she wanted to get sum lol.

And finally the 14 noah's which me and other's have been discussing since lord knows when.
So far including the earl we have Road Camealot 'the eldest', Tiki Miki, Skin Boric(dead), Jasidebei(might be dead), lulu bell(might be dead), and the 14th aka the musician aka Mana Walker. That's 8 out of 14. Then this new character appears that could be a noah which makes 9 but he could be a human, or he could be the earl??!!?? Anywho will there really be 14 noah's??? And if it's true then what will they be known for such as tiki the noah of pleasure, what other human emotion or attribute will the new noah's if any take upon??? Jealousy, Sorrow, happiness, depression??

Well, I read that line is her referring to having babies, but it could have been sex. Either way, I know akuma can't procreate. And I'm sure those people at the ball were humans, for various reasons.

As for the Noah, the Noah with Rhode there may have been the Noah of jealousy. Someone suggested that a while ago; I can't recall who. The possibilities for the remaining Noah are infinite because they aren't just human emotions, but also concepts: Tiki was of pleasure, and Skin of anger, but Rhode was the Noah of Dream, and Lulubell of lust and Transformation. So, I have no idea what the rest could be, but I do hope they are interesting like Rhode (because she's my favourite even though I think Tiki is superhot and I lust after him.

When did Rhode come back after Lavi stabbed her? Didn't she collapse, and only come back as that charred thing before she collapsed into a pile of ash? I don't remember her coming back as herself...

Well one i kinda said that the new noah could be the noah of jealousy. Lulu bell again is just the Noah of Lust, her power is transformation like road's power is teleportaion and regeneration but she's the noah of dreams. And skin was wrath so their could be an anger one is any in the future though i doubt it.

But anywho akuma might be able to produce remember the lv 4 and how it came to life?? If not reread it and you'll see something similar to a woman giving birth to an akuma. Who knows...

Hm. I do recall that bit with the akuma evolving, but that was after a great deal of akuma and humans were killed and it was born out of their dead bodies. I don't really consider that "birth" although I do get your point.

To be honest, i hated this chapter. -_-

Ok, D.g-m is not the most original manga i have ever read, but it's cool and has some intersting things and all.

But that good-guys-too-weak-and-not-knowing-that and bad-guys-fucking-terrible-strong thing is so stupid... it's completed cliché and i really think that a battle when one of the sides is completely incapable of winning is pretty boring.

I hope D.g-m gets better, cause would be a shame not read it anymore...i want to see my sexy Lavi every week!
