Default Gender question...

Does anyone know what Katsura Hoshino's (the mangaka) real gender is? Katsura Hoshino is listed as a female on wikipedia, even though there's some debate on the what...um...his/her sex is.

Can mangaka really be secretive about this kind of stuff?

Nice. I hadn't known this was in question. I like Katsura-sensei even better now.

Haha. I do not know which gender they are either, but I feel like I love the series even more because of that! I cannot explain, really why.

Perhaps the manga-ka wants to play with peoples minds and allows them to think of him\her whichever they like. But anyway, you should look at the kanji and compare it to the spoken name. It usually determines whether a person is a boy or girl. I personally have not looked at it and I have no clue what it even looks like.

Mysterious.

Based on the name alone I would say that it's a woman, but you never really know just based on a name
