uh...i'm pretty sure she commited suicide because light died, not because she made the eyes deal with rem...
but i guess when you think about it, if she hadn't made the eyes deal, then she might not've been able to find light, and she never would've fallen in love with him in the first place...so she wouldn't have commited sucide...
maybe i'm thinking too much into it...

She commited suicide because some loose lips (probably Matsuda) told her Light died. And that girl at the end is NOT her

Ok, this would probably make it a lot easier. Even though the 13th manga is wrong in many parts, I don't care. Many of you have said that the author or whatnot actually stated in it that it was not her. So...how about this. Why not just find that page where he actually said it and paste the link to it on here?
Btw. Showing a page that says the day she died doesn't count. I mean actual proof that he said that it wasn't her. Not that she died a year later.

As for the question about would she have still done that if she hadn't done the eye deal. Rem and Ryuk said that it halves their lives each time they make it. They also state that that merely means that they know when they will die. The moment their remaining lifetime runs out, they die. So in otherwords, even if she would've still committed suicide, she would've done it later instead of when she did. And even if she had still made the deal and had decided that she wouldn't commit suicide, she still would've died at the exact same moment, just a different way. Like getting shot, hit by a car, etc. (The reason for this is that suicide doesn't matter. A shinigami doesn't ever know HOW the person will die, just the exact moment they WILL die. So in sum. No. she wouldn't have died at that time and possibly not even the same way if she had not made the second eye deal. And especially if she hadn't made the first even.)
I've already made a post similar to this last part, but figured that restating it would probably just make a little more sense and be a little easier.

turns out, misa actually commited suicide, and the girl in the robe...was just a girl in a robe.

On th last page of Vol. 12 it is NOT misa. If you get Vol. 13 (special Volume that just has character profiles and author interviews and card with L's real name) tells you in a interview with the author that it was NOT misa. Misa dies the next year on Valentines day of a strange disease. The girl on the last page is to show that people still supported Kira.
