-Ohba- she's merely on of the followers who worshiped KIRA. in the thumbnails, i just had her hands in the praying position with her face covered; Obata-sensi made it into the final version. it's not Misa; since she doesn't appear in the final chapter, some people may have thought it was her...

-Obata- It's not really anyone. in the thumbnails it was a woman whose face was hidden. i thought that could work well too, but i think i personally wanted to draw something pretty in the final chapter. there's no real motif, i just tried to capture the scene.

And in the caption at the bottom of the picture of the mystery woman it says:

A young female worshiper praying for the return of Kira. when the series ended, there was a flurry of discussion among fans about who she was.

Yeah, i'm just stating what the author said, draw your own conclusions

Everyone would be sure if they would just take the time to actually READ the posts on this thread. The matter has already been finished and found out. So why keep putting useless posts that just keep asking about it and making assumptions about it when you can just read the answer? It's a waste of your time and everyone else's that chooses to reply to the now meaningless question.
It's also quite annoying seeing how lazy people are. It's just words. It doesn't take that much effort to read them. Afterall, you're already sitting in front of them.
