Default Does anyone else .... ?

When i first started reading Death note may favorite character was L but as soon as he died i stopped reading because it just wasn't the same without him...
He was like the only reason I continued to read because he made it funny and interesting.
Does anyone else miss L?
or do you think im just stupid .. ?

Default L made Death Note

I agree. I use to read the manga with ernist but after L died I started to loose intrest. All I really wanted to see in the end was that Light died in a horrific way and pay for all the twisted things he did.

L was great because you never could actually predict him. That and he said exactyly what was on his mind. I cant wait to see the movie 'L Change the World' hope they sub it quickly

Yeah I do miss L's weird and kinda' blunt way of putting things. He was definitely one of my top 2 fav. characters, second only too Ryuk.

Yes, it was very sad when L died. I did lose interest after his death. It just took the humor out of the manga and it was just depressing. I miss L a lot.

I also agree, the chapter after he died the anime just became kind of boring, i read pretty much constently while L was in it but since he died i have no intrest in reading the rest ><

Well, it wasn't just the lack of L that did that to it. His death was a turning point in the story. After the timeskip Light wasn't himself; he'd gotten settled, overconfident, and somnolent, and the rest of the manga was similarly bleak and unpleasant. Winning against L was the worst thing he could have done to himself, except possibly losing.

But I missed him a lot, too.

Am I the only one on this website that actually Liked Light Yagami!!

But I do agree with Trisak. Defeating L really made Light Overconfident in his own abilities. Even though I was satisfied when L was defeated.. It left me wonderin where would it go from there. L is a peculiar person and he always leaves you thinking what would he do next. Near or Mellow could never be as intresting as L. Although I wanted L to lose i still missed him.

If L never existed.. I fail to believe that Near and Mellow could have even discoverd the Death Note. With Lights genius.. He could have easily defeated them both before they knew the Death Note existed. So all in all.. (as much as i hate to say it) L made the Anime Great!

Wink

Me being the extreme fangirl that I am, It got to the point where I knew L was going to die, but some part of me wanted Light to suddenly confess to a heartfelt love of L and then admit he was the bad guy, make up (or makeout) with L and live happily ever after. (with some yaoi/shounen-ai scenes thrown in for fun) I got so depressed when L died. I loved his crazy hair to death.

I don't agree. Well yeah the story changes allot after L's death but when Near takes L places some stuff gets exiting and yeah.
