I like:

L, Light, Ryuk, Raye Penber. Everybody loves L ^^ and Ruyk just looks cool and Light is... just Light, right? He doesn't need anything else.

I don't like so much:

Near, Mello and Misa. Misa is stupid and N&M are not as interesting after L died. They seem just stuck-up L-wannabes to me...

I don't get it by the way. Why even in the movies L has to eat so bloody much of candy? XD I mean he puts about 10 pieces of sugar in a tea cup and then he stirs it with a lollypop... I mean come on!! If the manga was great then the movies are awesome ^^

And anyone that wonders about "Why there's no chap. 109??! Please, God help!!"", it's because the One-shot thingy *after* the chapter 110 is supposedly the chap. 109...

i like Light and L, both frikin geniuses!!!! and sometimes Misa....she was a little stuck up and stuff...but hey, she had the shinigami eyes! TWICE!!! or was it three??? i cant remember >.<

i dont like......Mello, Near, and Matt....they just bothered me....the whole task force wasn't 2 much on my good side either....

That's QUITE true, because he showed up for little more than thirty seconds (or was it fifteen?) before he was SHOT down!

POLICE BRUTALITY! BOOO!!

Matt seemed to have his odd quirks as well. He looked very aloof, smoked a cigar, was an obvious raver and a part of an underground scene, played videogames (PSP FTW!), and has had a hand in dealing with police (he wasn't too flustered when confronted by the police.... BUT THEN AGAIN HE PROBABLY DIDN'T EXPECT TO BE MOWED DOWN BY BULLETS BY THOSE BASTARDS!) arg.

I LOVE:
-L (the king of quirks and intelligence)
-Light (evil psychotic bastard who doesn't realize he's evil... priceless)

I ADMIRE:
-Yagami-san (an honorable man with strict priorities)
-Matsuda (he overcame a huge emotional struggle--and SHOT LIGHT! OMG!)
-Near (it seems like nothing deters this guy from his goal. He's even more straightforward than Light)
-Matt (for having SO MANY FANS EVEN THOUGH HE DIDN'T EVEN LAST A MINUTE)

I HATE:
-Misa (unimportant. Materialistic. A Sexist portrayal of women. Airheaded and annoying.)
-Rem (I admire her simultaneous devotion and contempt for the human race... but if it weren't for Rem, Misa would already be DEAD!!)
-Mello (although he's awesome in some respects, his chocolate addiction, haircut, and emo-ness freaks me out... Did you know that chocolate stimulates the emission of endorphins, which makes you HORNY AND HAPPY?)

Personally, my favorite characters are, in descending order:
Mikami Teru- Who doesnt think this guy is awesome??? He is insane beyond all understand. And his devotion to Light Yagami as the true 'God of the New word' is amazing. That, however, is only the least. He is one of my favorite characters for his simple uttering of the word "Sakujo" repeatedly after writing each name in the Death Note.

Yagami Raito- Well, we can all agree Mikami is insane. But OH MY GOD, Light takes that to a whole other level!! My prime example is the very last (2) episode(s) of the anime, just watching his insanity come out.... Watching him explain the entire reasoning of what he did, right to Near himself. And then watching Near deny it and watching him get even crazier >=]
Not to mention, the kid is brilliant. He outsmarted my idol (Ryuzaki) quite a few times. Over an over again. Light... what an adversary!

Eru- None of you Death note fans can ask me why L is my favorite character and keep a straight face. L is the greatest character I have ever seen. From the way he sits, to how he holds up a piece of paper. L is my idol, he's an amazing character. And just as Light outsmarted L... you better believe L got some shots on Light.
Should I list them?

Characters I like, but do not admire quite as much as L, Mikami, and Light:
Near- Stupid fourteen year-old.... Killed Light.....
Still, he's a brilliant kid. Figuring out that Light was Kira, Mikami was X-Kira, and solving the entire Kira case. I could tell that he only needs a small clue to get to the answer. I swear, you could say "Pencil sharpener" to the kid and he would know everything about you <_<

Mello- He has an awesome voice actor. Not to mention, I love the way he handles his situations.

Matsuda- Are you kidding? He's AWESOME!!!

Rem- A very fascinating Shinigami. I'll leave it at that. However... she did kill L

Ryuk- Ryuk is just awesome. He's the representation of the audience... thats what I think atleast ^_^ but... he killed Light

Near's go this weird quirks too. And how old is he? He's playing with toys :O That weirds me out a little. And his voice seems a little too feminine for my liking. But he handles his situations with more severity and more tolerance of death than L. L was careful not to harm or involve anybody innocent or unnecessary.

Near put aside the Man-ners and got with the Man-hunting.
