well... we're only speaking hypothetically.
Death note is sort of seen as real life, with a supernatural addition. There are a few anime like that. So we're basically just talking about how much it would reflect on real life, or if somebody in today's society had possession of a Death note.

But really? you can't erase it and then write another name there and it work? That, I did not know.

thats true, but thats not what the topic was about.
it was about how Death note relates to the real world. Because the one who started the topic believed that Death note made a mistake when they made Death note because where he lives, the names of criminals aren't broadcast at all.

So, we countered because in america, there are some channels that do show criminals and their names. Maybe in Japan too...
