Light knew Near had him under his watch so he purposely made Mikami Teru judge in his book in public so Near`s agents would see it.What they didn`t know was in stead of Mikami doing the judging,it was the tv woman(always forget her name),writing in the real notebook while the one Teru had was fake.However that fatal happened when Mello kidnapped the tv chick whick make Light kill her via the notebook.What he had never considered was that when Teru found out she was kidnapped he went to the library to write her name down in his fake notebook.This he did before Light did.By going to the library on that day Near`s agents were confused why he had broke his routine and they followed him.That`s how the fake notebook was revealed.If it hadn`t been for Teru doing that,Light would have won.


I`m pretty sure this is how it worked.If anyone sees a mistake in my explanation,please do correct me.

So let's recap for a while what happen in the ending; Light gave Teru a fake notebook. Then in the final judgement, Light made Teru brought the real notebook, assuming Light didn't know that Teru had use the real notebook back then. But, Mello and co. knew that Teru would bring the real notebook, so they switched it with the fake one (they copied it) by opening Teru's bank safety box. So, in the end, where Teru was supposedly to write their names, it wouldn't work because it was the fake. Hmm. That actually make sense. XD

Btw, the TV woman's name was Kiyomi Takada. Just so you know it.

very upsetting ending lol.
it made me depressed for quite awhile. i watched the ending of the anime and its even more detailed with Light's screams and Mikami's...err...suicide gosh.
and i cried...yes I did. *nods* uh huh lol. when Light died that way although Ryuk was alot more...evil the way he just did it without hesitation while in the anime he was sorta...I have no idea but it seemed different.

I didn't want Light to die he was amazing. I love him! lol. but he did become very pitiful at the end...squirming after getting shot. I thought Matsuda was too voilent! but oh well that's the ending.

IT WAS EPIC.

Yeh, the ending was really good for me, but something was missing. I think that someone else should have died. Someone good. I think that Light's death was one of the best ever made in anime or manga history.
When he went crazy at the end, I just thought, "This is so... cool."

I have no idea why, but when people go crazy like the way Light did, I just love it.

But, I don't think that L should have been taken away from the story. I swear, if he magically came back from the dead at the end and then tricked Light into killing himself and revealing that Light was Kira... somehow... that would be good too.

The ending was sastifactory of course.Bad people should die eventually.Or else,this wouldnt be a good piece of anime But i found that this anime has two kinda version(or more,perhaps),the endings werent the same,what i saw in the mange(here)was Light became crazy and pleaded his shinigami to write down Nate and those police's names...but in the anime,Light became crazy that he ran away to a place(strangely he didnt plead his shinigami at all)and his shinigami wrote down his name in his death note because of sympathy(that's what i think lol).So,which one is the original version?
