Default L Decorates His Own Casket?

Before I go with what I'm pushing here, I need an exactly correct answer to this question, as it is the meat of the whole issue at hand...

DID THE YOTSUBA GROUP ADHERE TO THE TWO-WEEK (month in manga) MANDATE TO STOP THE KILLINGS?! IN ETIRETY?! This is very crucial? At what point was the Death Note used again within these timeframes?

Are you talking about when L (Light) asked for Yotsuba to hold off their judgement for two weeks, so that L could see whether or not they were performing the killings?

If so, than yes I believe they did.

That is exactly what I am talking about. I don't really need a general consensus to make my next announcement... You as a seasoned and qualified D.N. veteran are what I'd call a reputable source... That said... I hope everybody's ready for the bomb I'm about to drop...

While L was talking to Rem in the Manga, I was waiting with baited breath. I had been told ahead of time by my sister (who looked up bio's and such, as, at the time she didn't realize you could read manga's online)... that L would, indeed, die. But in the course of the conversation with Rem I knew L would find the key to living much longer than I initially anticipated. After all, he had every freaking thing he needed to PROVE that REM at least, was a LIAR!!

The shinigami insisted that it didn't know. But if someone were able to kill simply by writing a name on a torn piece of notebook, it's not impossible. But there's that rule: Whoever writes a name in this notebook has to write another name in thirteen days, otherwise they die. Light Yagami and Misa Amane are still alive. Thirteen days... that's the only problem.
Yotsuba Group=14 days=Hikugi (presumed murdere still alive...)
VS.
False Death Note Rule=Light Yagami/Misa Amane=Still Alive

Two relevant Truths Which Directly and Contrastly Oppose Each Other=1 BIG FAT LIE SOMEWHERE!! In summary, L, by overlooking the blantantly obvious, signed his own Death Note. (Am I wrong? Please redress, if I am.)

You seem to have found a huge inconsistency... but you shouldn't fault L... Why would the 3rd Kira wait the two weeks especially if his life were on the line?... a closer look at the DN should reveal a name during the time period.... It's too easy of a fix and the author probably will #75.... get around to it eventually.

Ok I have the Manga infront of me know so I'm relativly sure of this. Light told Kira to hold the killings of E.L.F. Then Misa tricked mogi and convinced The 3rd kira she was the 2nd. She told him to stop killing criminals for 2 weeks. She returns to L and them and tells them about it. Then it flips to the part where they call Kira that leads to his capture. The question is how long it took from the plan's formation to when it's put to use. I could be wrong but that's what I gather from the manga.

Unfortunately, determining that is a big 'if'. Regardless, my sister decided their may be some logic in the matter which might save the author's hide. I disagree somewhat, but here they are anyway, stuff to think on...

L wouldn't be sure how many Yotsuba members were able to access the Notebook. As the surveillance cameras never showed who exactly was using it, there was the possibility of it being passed around to a select (and very small) number of individuals. If Hikugi was not the last one to write in the Notebook, L would have a hard time proving who was. As my sister pointed out, L does not like to move forward without solid facts to back up his theories. L demands truth.

That said, however. If the rule was true, someone would have to end up dying from Yotsuba.

The other thing she pointed out was that L may have remembered the 23 day rule, and, under the assumption above, was waiting for that death to occur to work out a plausible placing of the 13 day rule.

Both cases are notoriously like L, but I still submit that his ignorance in the matter can't be overlooked, as all it would've done to arouse suspicion would be to point this out with the Yotsuba group. While it's been argued at this point that the taskforce wouldn't even entertain such an idea, I believe that if L mentioned it, then whether or not the taskforce believed it, Yagami's father would have been suspicious at the very least. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.:-)

What would happen if L had reviewed the tapes of Light's bedroom after having touched the Death Note? Could he have seen Ryuk and been able to prove Light was Kira?

I don't think L would be able to see Ryuk because even if L could see Ryuk, I don't think the camera would be able to pick up and record Ryuk.

I think what Rav was referring to was if Ryuzaki had somehow touched the piece of note that Light contained in his watch which, I think, was from the Notebook associated (after all the changing of hands was done with), with Ryuk... I'm sure he'll clarify for us.
