| Well, the point I was initially trying to make was spelled out quite clearly in another post, that being; if you look at Light Yagami while he's not technically Kira, he is a completely different person. He's not faking his innocence... he really is unaware of committing crimes as Kira. That said, and I haven't checked out the other thread as thoroughly as I want to do shortly here... My assessment (again, this may be addressed in the other thread), is that'Kira' represents a human's unconscious boundary/desire to kill. Once you cross that line, as Light Yagami did, you become a completely different person. Ergo... Light Yagami is/isn't Kira

| I was watching Death note today, Light had just been released. He said that he could "never manipulate a woman's feelings" After regaining his memories of the Death note. He wasnt beyond that. He deliberately put Misa in danger to kill L, he used Takada to contact Mikami, and used Mikami to get attention away from himself. and then he used his father to get the Death note, and attempt to kill Mello.
