I agree it was boring after Light lost his powers but I still read and watched it. But come on that ending in the manga where Light loses and dies it just didn't sit right with me. I couldn't believe that's how they ended it.

so stupid after L died and light lost his powers it's ruined half of all the characters DIED!
I mean WTF some good characters they can never replace died!

oooooh, i was so mad when Light lost the DeathNote....and then i was even madder when he died at the end!!!!! i was rooting for him from the begginning....

I think L and Light's deaths were both justified and beautiful.

Light deserved to die, of course--but then again, did he? He was doing what he thought was good for the world. But in the end, he ended up killing innocents out of desperation and fear for his own being. Isn't that being a killer?
He's a god, though... in his own mind... right?

The episode where L dies (I believe it's ep.26?) was beautiful as well. The fact that L washed Light in the end was weird, though ... I got freaked out a bit, but it scares me to think how biblical that episode is. Like references to church bells, nuptial neutrality, Jesus, redemption, blah. It's amazing. I can't believe anybody would put that in an anime--it's way too controversial.

But it's fascinating as well.
I think I'll start a thread about that.

I thought that the show became way more intriguing after Light gave up his Death note.
At last, my two favorite characters were on the same side.
I agree, the way the two died was absolutely amazing.

Everyone I know was disappointed at how Light died and was either happy or mad at L's death.

It was fate. Both of them would die.
Light, being the main character... he had to win in his fight against L. Episode 25 was fantastic...

But Light, as much as he would disagree with it... he became an enemy of justice. It would be impossible for him to achieve his goal. Its just how things are.
You cannot bring harmony with a weapon.... You can only bring fear.

It's like Aizawa (I think) said: "It's not trust in a savior, its fear of a murderer"

Now... as I was saying (sorry I went off topic)
The show became a lot more interesting after Light gave up the death note. Thats just what I think. He gets it back though, that was obvious as soon as Light gave it up.

Just think, Someone else has the Death note now... and Light is in the group that will capture this person. Wait and see, I think you'll like it.
