now here me out, even though misa comminted suicide in the end, if she hadnt she would have lived longer then everyone. lets do some quick math here. she got the remainder of jealous's years which lets say was idk 40. she then gave 20 of those years to rem for the eyes, then 10 to ryuk. now lets do some more math. rem had misas twenty years, also she had the years from the person misa had her kill to prove to higuchi that she was the second kira, ballpark figure being idk 10 years. then higuchi gave her half his life which at the very least was another 20 years. so right now rem has 50 years, that is not including how many years she ALREADY HAD being a shinigami who seemed to have no problem using the death note to lengthen her life. lets say another 20 again, so add that up 50 plus 20 is 70. add seventy on to 10 you have 80 (this is bc she sacrificed herself to save misa hence she gave her years to misa) plus misa was in her teens so misa would have lived to be 90. oh and also rem killed l and if ls years were added to misas to well dam she coulda had an even longerlife. bare in mind these are general figures, they could be lower, but are most likely biger then i have guestimated. tell me what you all think.

Misa probably could've lived 'till she was 300, with all the Shinigami who killed for her (how long do Shinigami live? Since they collect human lifespans, we can assume they live well above an average human's lifespan), plus all the people they killed for her. Giving away half her life twice was not as self-destructive as it seemed.
But when does she kill herself?

Only one problem. My understanding is that remaining lifespans taken by the Death Note are non-transferable to human owners. Otherwise, Light Yagami really would have been a God.

I could just imagine how long she woulda lived.

Let's just say that Jealous had...I dunno....maybe 400 years or so. Cutting her life span in half twice wouldn't do much, she still woulda lived to be well over 100.

Jealous and rem both seemed like they were very active in their shinigami duties so both of there years added to misa's could easily extend it up to at least 500 more years and than halfing that twice plus her own remaing lifespan id say about 150-200 years she would have lvied

if i recall, in the How to read 13, thing. it says that Shidho and Jealous did not kill very often at all (granted though...Shidho killed like...never. so he's probably reaching death.) but point is...i doubt Misa got much at all from Jealous.
Second. Think about it. The shinigamis (Ryuk and Rem) said that they see how long a person has left to live; a.k.a. they know the exact date and time they will die. they just don't know how they will die.
In sum. Even if Misa had not committed suicide on that day, she would've died. Whether it was getting hit by a car, having a heart attack, being mugged, getting shot, etc. Point is, that was the day she was destined to die no matter what if you go by what Rem and Ryuk say. So no...she couldn't have lived any longer than what she lived.

You're both wrong. Your life span can be affected and changed just by having the death note dropped into the human world. People's life spans are often altered and shortened. However, the shinigami could not see these changes. Misa would have lived until her years from the shinigami ran out, say 100-200 years total. But, if you count in the factor that she probably would want to die with Light Yagami, she probably would have killed herself at his time of death. Your life span does change when shinigami die for you, phoenix =P
and Misa doesnt kill herself a year after Light's death, but rather about say 3 weeks later? Kiyomi Takada hosted a new years party that Misa was supposed to announce her engagement at, remember? which means Light Yagami died in the year 2013 [in the anime], not 2012, the year that the time skip jumped to. Misa probably found out on valentines day from Matusuda and after realizing he wasnt lying, commited suicude.
As for you people who didnt know she kills herself, it states in Death Note 13: How to Read and Death Note: Fatally Fun Facts that our dear Misa-Misa commited suicide on Febuary 14th , 2013, Valentines day. =[
