and was kurama and glasses guy dead or not? I don't remember kurama dying but...I am pretty sure glasses guy died D8 they wore the bows like nana so...maybe they ahve horns..

I suppose it's something along the lines of the girls (Kaede and Nyuu).

Kaede (keep in mind that this is revealed to be Lucy's real name...and she never actually refers to herself by name Lucy once in the anime) and Nyuu were reborn as twins, instead of being reborn as one being with two minds.

This is suggested by the fact that they both seem to remember there promise to Kouta, yet neither seem to understand why. Something similar happens in Dragonball Z -for those who have seen the anime

Goku kills Majin Buu at the end of the series and he is reborn later as Uub.

The glasses guy survived...kinda surprising. Even more surprising is the fact that Ana is alive. Seems like the Chief had some type of heart afterall and didn't "completely" turn her into that ugly @ss thing. Who knew.

The more important question would be, how in the heck is Batou still alive? The guy was dismembered from the waist down, and i believe he even lost his arms? Looks like he got metal legs...but geez. Darn guy doesn't want to die.

Even more disheartening. Kouta and Yuka seemed to have ended up together (assuming this based on the Mother's apparent temper and even more so by how much the daughter looks like Yuka). All Kouta-Lucy pairing fans...join me in crying in the corner.

Oh and no Kurama never died. Nana was exaggerating..don't you remember him showing up in the end?

He just loses his arm...his wife...his daughter...my respect...and probably a few other things that i can't think of at the moment.

Who else thought Nozomi was really a useless character? Other then teaching Lucy Elfen Lied, she didn't do much. Nor did they explain if her voice healed and got accepted to that school she was going.

And the whole Bando being still alive was really cheesy. What would have made that scene complete was if Wanta actually spoke and said "My job is done." By the way, who was that in the poster?

Wow, I'm not the only one who is confused by this last chapter....
I read something about the end, but now that I've read the last chapter myself I think there's some interpreation in it.....
I don't think I can "spoil" here cuz this story is at it's end. But as a Warning I'm now refering to what I read bout the end. .==========> SPOILER-ALERT ^^ <=============

Kouta's (and Yuka's!) daugther is the one named Nyuu. Man, she just looks like Yuka in the past, at the Festival. Watching the Anime, it looks like in Japanese they don't say "I" or "me" they say their own name to refer to themselfes (kinda strange to "us")

The twins Koutas daughter is playing with are the reincarnations of Nyu and Kaede (Lucys real name?) Remember both of them protecting Kouta form her own vectors and "3rd evil personality".
I think Kouta is so happy because he realises that the twins are there to meet with him (and that they are the reincarnations). Perhaps he recognized their voices? Or just because of the situation.

I got another question about the letter. What does this "wedding ring" sentence mean? Am I dumb or is it cuz I'm not native english speaker. Or is it just that Lucy/Keade would like to be in yukas place (married with kouta).

Afterall I think the ending wasn't one of the strongest chapers

I liked that Bando is back, because he had some cool scenes before Lucy dismembered him.
I got crazy when Nana wanted to be Kuramas wife.

Am I right "Lynn" hates her? I mean he wanted to have her killed by Lucy but the fans protested. (I've read that somewere) It's like he tortures her because he had to let her live ^^

Really?! I know that "book sign" @ the directory isn't "closed" but the last page of chapter says:
"Das Ende" <= this is German and means "The End" (not really difficult)
And theres no doubt about that. I speak German 4 more than 20 years and every website can translate this (normally they fail awfully...funny 4 me to read the results ^^)
Still hope you're right...
