Not really. The 12 Zodiacs weren't born according to their respective zodiac years. A good example would be Shigure, Hatori and Ayame - ALL three of them were born in the same year. It's only their characters that are in sync with the zodiac animals.

Akito is about three years older than Yuki, Kyo, and Tohru. (I think.....)
