|  every character in this story had a bad childhood. kyo was hated and his mom died when he was young. yuki had so much put on to him just because he was the rat which made others hate him quite easily. tohru was bullied quite alot when she was young and her father died. rin was hated by both her parents and lived in a world like a dream that fell apart. akito who was loved by her father only to face the fierce jealousy of her mother after his death. machi who was expected to be a perfect person. momiji was feared by his own mother and couldn't have a happy family. saki's psychic abilities made others very afraid of her. ritsu who always believed of himself as a nuisance since he had no special abilities and got in trouble quite often. arisa's mom left her and her dad was an alcoholic. this proves that everyone did have a bad childhood. how they use all their past troubles and how they grew is how people begin to pity one character over another. |

 |  Every one of these characters had a bad childhood but I think the worst were Kyo's, Yuki's, Machi's, Momiji's and Rin's - their families didn't want them and hated them... I think that's the worst thing that can happen to someone. Hana at least had her family by her side. And Tohru was happy at least until her mom died - but that happened when she was already a teenager. And the others, well I think they weren't has unhappy has the ones I said.

| mostly everyone had a bad childhood but I think kyo's was worser being the cat of the zodiac isn't easy people,look down on you. kyo is really strong with putting up with that i wouldn't be able to handle it.  |

| come on people! Yuki had it A LOT worse than Kyo! not that its a contest or anything but i'm kinda of sick of everyone feeling sorry for Kyo because, well...because he's KYO! the poor, poor cat that loves Tohru (sarcastic smilies) and trust me I'm a stupid Kyo fangirl too and I love TohruxKyo and all that but really look at Yuki's childhood. Kyo shows his emotions easily so its easy for everyone to feel bad for him right way, while Yuki's feelings and pains were all hidden away. One of the big points in their realationship. But Yuki's emotions are really deep, not to say Kyo's aren't, so really between the two Yuki had it worse because no one was there for him. I'm not even going to go into the other characters b/c I originally started this discussion just between those too. Not that I'm against this poll with everyone's childhood. But this is where everyone is now, talking about it, so I put my post here. |

| Momiji's story was just so sad...I cried so much. Imagine your mom asking you, "Who are you? Do I know you?" It would be too sad. Saki's story was really sad too. She had to be known as a killer, when she didn't do anything. But it's a good thing her family was there to support her and love her. I forgot to check Machi, but it's kinda similar to Saki's story, cuz she only wanted to help her brother but was thought of as a murderer. Everyone hated Kyo...and I would like wanna kill myself if everyone laughed at me or ran away from me. So sad OMG T_T I feel bad for EVERYONE! And Hatori T_T His past is too sad...I can't come to forgive Akito cuz of what she did to Hatori. Kana(?) and Hatori should have had an happy ending :[ Maybe he'll end up with Mayu and be happy. =P Anyways, everyone in this manga is so mentally strong...I wish I could be like them.

| I think Hana-chan had it real bad until she met with arisa and toru. She had to endure not only her own feelings and problems but the feelings of every one around her as well... She was lucky to have that cute brother of hers, but inside her mind she was always alone with these auras she felt |
