Unhappy Youtube

I was randomly watching Youtube videos and remembered that my friends recommended that i watch animes. I don't remember what i wrote on the search but on one video, in the description, it had a list of good animes and i randomly picked Fruits Basket and Tokyo mew mew. It is as if they were calling to me!!!

Smile Long story, lol.

I have a penpal in Russia, and she told me of a few mangas that she liked, but I wasn't very interested. (I never knew about mangas or animes before that, lol. I know, pretty sad!)

I have an account on fanfiction.net, and I got some alerts from my favorite authors telling me that they had stories posted under the Fruits Basket category. I was like, "Fruits Basket?" What kind of name is that? I was a little interested, but never read the stories.

Finally, lol, I went to booksamillion.com, and I saw that they had a bargain section for mangas. I was like, "Wow, I think I'll try reading some." And guess what, Fruits Basket was there!!! I read some of them, and they were awesome!!! I fell in love with it!

Too bad, they only had up to part 4 in there, because I wanted to read past that. I had to order the rest from other sites, and wait for them to get here, but in the meantime, I watched all of the shows. They are so kawaii!!

My friend told me about it, and I read volume 1 at her house, then I watched the anime and I thought that the ending was rubbish, then months later I saw volume 1 at a bookstore, then I really liked the story and read the rest here...

Smile how i found out about fruits basket

i was at my cousin's house and i was waiting for her to get out of the shower so i decided to look at all of her books (which i do to everyone i know... if i happen to be at there house) and she had the first two books on her shelf. i own up to nine and i had only read up 'till six before i started watching the anime. the manga is so much better than the anime altough they didn't finish it. apparently they are thinking of making a second season of the fruits basket anime. i kinda hope they do because as much as i love to read, it'll give me something to watch too.

Well, i found out about fruits basket when i just started watching animes (and that i knew it were animes)

I had just finished watching InuYasha and Naruto (so far as it was back then) and my friend (who also started to watch animes) told me about Fruits Basket, i thought why not and started watching.. after the first to episodes i thought: WTF.. this can't be.. but i watched the 3rd episode too, caus i didn't have anything better to do xD.. and i actually started to like it alot! and i was a bit sad when the anime ended..

now 1.5 year later i found out that in the manga happens alot of stuff that doesn't appears in the anime and started reading ^^ and my heart is fully contant caus it ends the way i like it

Haha. I had been watching anime since I was born. My parents loved Speed Racer and StarBlazers, but never knew the term "anime", until I started 7th grade and met some friends who were really into Yu-Gi-Oh!. After that, each of us would buy different manga and anime and see which ones were good and which ones were bad. I think one day a couple of us were at the book store and we all saw Fruits Basket and decided to read it. Then we got the anime, and loved it!! I just finished reading the manga now, and realized the anime sucked, but it was still a nice experience. ^_^

I started with the anime, on a site called AnimeCrave where they have english dub/sub series but that only had 26 episodes so when I found it here I had to see how much farther the story went, and now I can easily say that the manga is so much better then the anime. Since I now know how the story ends I'm so happy.

i'd been into anime and manga since i was 7. When i was still little i learned the story of the zodiac from my older brother and wanted to write a story about a bunch of teenages possesed by the zodiac spirits. But cats were the villians. (Sry kyo)
My brother told me his friend was reading a manga like that called Fruits Basket. First i was like 'what kind of name is that and why is Fruit plural, thats stupid'
and then i was outraged b/c that author had 'stolen my idea' (hardly )

Years later in the 7th grade my friend Ethan who'd i'd shown anime too had vol. 6 of furuba in art class that he'd borrowed from a guy who borrowed it from a guy who borrowed it from his girlfriend. I asked about it and then i borrowed it ( i still wonder if it ever got back to its orginal owner)

I fell in love with it and took it home after hitting my friend upside the head a couple times so he'd let me. and finished it and remember crying even though i just jumped into the story and i remember exactly thinking 'this is so emotional'

I got the first book for Christmas and within a year knew the whole story and was fully obsessed.
