| Senior Member | This is a funny subject 4 me... I just came across it one day when I was roaming through Netflix. All my life, I've watched animes and didn't know that they were animes. LOL It wasn't until this summer when I was staying up to watch InuYasha that I learned what animes were and was intrigued by them. We have Netflix so I was like, "I think I'm gonna look up animes and see if they have some" (which they do)!!! I just looked randomly at different animes and read their descriptions and especially at their ratings. I came across Fruits Basket and was like, "why not?" I got the anime and loved it and then decided to read the manga. I own all of the mangas that they have printed so far in the US. I love the manga but honestly it isn't my favorite. (Don't take offense). I can see why so many people love it and y it is widely known. I plan 2 submit a picture into the company 2 see if its published within the pages...

| I have always loved manga/anime since i was about 5 but i referred to them as "those big eyed cartoons" lol Not too long ago i realized you could watch anime on the internet. (Isn't technology great?) After watching Ouran High Host Club, I was reading comments about the series. In the comments someone had asked "Are there any similar anime(s?) to this?" and someone suggested Fruits Basket, so I decided to give it a try. It was a good anime but I wanted to find out who Tohru picked, and I heard that the manga went further. (Actually I ended up reading everything on wikipedia so It kind of spoilt the ending *sigh*...) The manga was much better than the anime and I own up to volume 16. I also thought about entering a picture to see if it ends up in "fans basket" but it may be a little hard to.... as i dont live in the USA.... |

| Haha, I learned about Fruits Basket on the Neopets website. I was in a guild that was about anime, and they once had the theme as Fruits Basket. So I did a search on youtube and watched it. I loved it, and so I read the manga! I like the manga more, though. Anyway, point is I found out about Furuba on Neopets!! Which is kind of strange... anyway, that was a longgg time ago. |

| Hi! I have always loved anime! One of my sons and I used to stay up and watch anime each friday. Then we found Cowboy Bebop!!! Oh, be still my heart!!! That Spike is a total doki doki. Wandering around the bookstore one day, I came across their super small manga section, maybe 15 titles. The cover took my interest first, and then after reading a few pages, I was hooked on Fruits Basket, Now, I could not say which is my fav manga title. Red River, Claymore, Chibi Vampire, Yu Yu Hakashu, Absolute Boyfriend, Love Celeb, Love Monster, Ai Girl, Naruto, Alice 19th, Fushigi Yugi, and the list just grows..... |

| For me Fruit basket, was something everyone I knew was telling me I had to read. It's a title I think most anyone will find charm in. So, after much nagging finally decided to take my friends advice and read it. Now I have another favorite character ...love Kyo. ![]()

| I'd never really heard of anime or manga until I moved house and made friends who were really into anime about 5 years ago, I listened to what they talked about and watched some of their films and was hooked. I bought several mangas and started looking on the internet for more. A couple of years later they started and anime club at school and someone brought fruits basket in and I loved it!! Since then I've watched the anime countless times (having to suffer when episodes kept disappearing!!!!) and have introduced my brother and sister to it! |

| I discorved it and many other manga titles in the library in my tireless search for books with many pictures. I guess I'm just a visual person like that. It's hard for me to sit down and read a thick book unless it has adult theme and content in it (more entertaing and real). And, I guess that why i love manga and anime so much because it deals with a lot of real life issues that people face everyday that you don't particularly find in the slapstick, carefree and uber-censored cartoon and comic book medium in America. i love fruits Basket because i'm all about cute things and i'm also an animal lover, and, i'm particularly fond of kittens and mice but only for their cute little beady eyes and squirrels for their cute little bushy tails other than that squirrels are ugly and who really likes rats? ![]() A good example as to how real manga can be is a title called "Bitter Virgin" you should definately look into it and another example as to how surreal but delightfully charming would be, you guessed it, "Fruits Basket". There are many other great manga titles out there and for the one that is the cutest and most charming "Fruits Basket" is definately second to none ![]() So, sayonara everyone! |

| well, i discovered it last year. my 7th grade teacher had a book shelf and it surprised me that she actually had a manga book in there. so i took it out and in my mind i thought " my sister is always the one that brings manga books home, but finally i can give her something to read!" and so i went home and i told my sister about it and she said " OH fruits basket! Yea my friend___________ let me read book two, its a good book! ur goin to like it!" (let me tell u there was a smile on her face). There wasn't a smile on mine. so my happiness was gone and so i cuddled up in my bedroom and opened up the book. it was indeed a good book and i just finished the manga like 4 to 5 months ago, so cute! but the good news is that i am slowly catching up to my sister, i hav showed her many books! (smile) |

| Well, the first anime I watched was the studio ghibli films, like Spirited away, and then I had a friend that had manga, tokyo mew mew, and so then I was looking for it online and watched all 52 episodes on youtube, then I was intrigued about other manga, so I told my friend and she said that she really like Inuyasha, so I've been reading that, and then my other manga fan friend said that her favorite manga was Inuyasha, Naruto, Rave master, and Fruits basket, so I was already reading Rave master and Naruto, so I tried Fruits basket and love it, or atleast the times when I don't get bored with Inuyasha. |
