Ed ended up leaving amestris, AND Winrey while he was at it.... Stupid ed XD!!!!!! Any hoo (again I know) I only watched the first few episodes a couple episodes from the middle, the last few and a couple hundred edwin AMVs LOL, but there is one scene in the anime I've only seen in amvs, the one where ed and al are on the train and ed has a letter that he refuses to let al see so al thinks its a love note or something... Sorry my edwin obsession is kicking in =s

the letter came from the tringham brothers in xenotime[[the ones who impersonate the elric brothers so that they can make the philosophers stone]]
it specifically came from from russel tringham, the older brother
it says that he was somewhat shock or something upon the fact that he is taller than ed and at the same time younger than ed for onje year...
rusell was 14 and ed was 15...
ed was ashame to show it to al....

Default Omg!!!

How awesome was that?!?!?! Lin coming back and taking his body back (we all knew it had to happen sometime, but nonetheless, it's still awesome) . I'm also interested to know about what the sacrifices are (that Homonculi was looking for). I thought that it would be people that have seen the door place ( forget what it was called), but why does Izumi only have the potential, and not just plain be there? That calls for question. The whole May thing seems doomed for disaster, though. They should have just killed the shrimp/insect. Also, the only way I can see anyone beating "father" or Pride is with some uber alchemy. Could become a problem. Love how this author isn't afraid to kill people off, though...

by the way, as a side note, the anime and manga have pretty much evolved into separate series. Can't predict this with the anime...

Definitely can't predit from the anime, Fred's right. Someone else wrote that ending, not Arakawa. (And, by the way, it visibly fell apart. What a mess!) Hmm, so, the current character groupings are Al, Hohenheim, and Winry in Lior with Roze; Ed, Darius, Heinkle, and Greelin somewhere near Central; Izumi up North with Miles; Scar and Doctor Marcoh off somewhere; Mei by herself with the Envy-jar; the Major-General in deep with the brass; and Mustang's bad boys spread all over the country. Oh, and Father is down to just the new Gluttony with him in his cave, since Pride, Wrath, and Sloth have their stations. That's a lot of settings to service. No wonder we're getting nowhere fast.

I think Izumi is 'possible' because they think she may have opened the Gate, but only Ed, Al, Hohenheim, and Sig know. Hohenheim and Father were to begin with about the same: immortal human body patterned on Hohenheim's DNA, with half the souls of Xerxes inside. Father's made a mess of himself somehow, probably the reckless way he uses power, but Hohenheim hates using those souls, so he only does important things, and he's okay. (I've always assumed Father's current scheme is just to recharge himself, but there could easily be another layer. Like world domination. I mean, does he really want nothing more than to go off and build another country to consume in due time? He did say he wanted nothing luxurious way back on that windowsill in Xerxes, but I think he's gone old and crooked now instead of just amoral and wicked.)

As far as people dying: no lines are currently in place that would allow Ed or Al not to survive. Winry, Mei, and a lot of the minor characters can't die without a whole lot of buildup to it. Ling and Mustang have destinies; they're going to make it. Marcoh, Scar, and Hohenheim are marked men. People like Hawkeye might well be sacrificed, but only if there's no one whose death would better serve the purpose. Arakawa doesn't like to waste things. Yeah, Lelan, we shall have to think, and we shall have to see.

Er...for Chibi Kitty's benefit, I typed this, on and off, over the course of three hours. Most of that was math test, history class, and really boring assembly, though. Say twenty minutes?

Question

Wow, I never really imagined the characters all grouped together in different parts of the country. Thanks, TrisakAminawn! I'll have to start doing a chart or something and try to figure out any possible storylines.

So that I don't repeat anything that was already said, I'm going to answer the question in a different way: Who I think will survive. Ed and Al seem most likely to survive, only because of the fact that they're the main characters. Arakawa-san already said that (1) she made up the ending, and (2) it's coming soon, which to me meant: Ed and Al get their happy ending, but will sacrifice something to make up for it, obviously. I feel like this could also mean that either Ed or Al will survive and not both, for some reason.

For Envy, I felt that he was meant to come back to Central to serve as a way for Greelin to get rid of the philosopher's stone.(forcibly removed, of course, unless Ling finally realizes that he's being stupid)

I'm still lost about how Father stopped alchemy. If you think about it, Homunculus was the one to start the interest in alchemy in Xerxes. Could that mean that he also created, or at least re-introduced alchemy? My memory of the complete history is really hazy, so correct me if I'm wrong. If I'm right, remember what Marcoh said: "If you spend a lot of time creating something, you are also able to destroy your creation." Father could destroy attempts at alchemy... sort of. I'm not making sense anymore. Sorry!

I'd like to propose a new question: Who do you think will be the fifth sacrifice? Father already selected Ed, Al, Hoenheim and Izumi is a maybe. Who's the 5th? I'm thinking Roy(obvious), or Scar, for some reason. Scar seems kind of the oddball, but he has a combination of alchemy and rentan-jutsu (Hopefully spelled right), so it seemed possible to me!

P.S. This took 20-30 minutes to type?

Wink My idea's...

I love all the speeches! Oh and the times of all of them! lmao Anyway this is what I hope/want/think is going to happen:

There is going to be some badass fight scenes! I'm talking like 6-7 chapters long with people popping up in the middle of fights, the fighters almost dieing and then saying, "Oh look! I have a trump card! PWN ALL OF YOU!" Something along those lines.

I think that something LIKE the anime will happen involving Ed and Al. Ed's gonna be in an "almost death" state and Al's gonna sacrifice himself to save him (Cuz he's a sweetie like that ) But I think instead of him dieing his soul will then join his body at the gate and he will wait for Ed there. Ed will freak out, transmute himself (So that he can be sent to the gate), He's gonna meet up with Al and the two will return together (Because they already paid the price for Al's body: Al's time and Ed's hight [It takes a lot of energy and food to keep a whole other body alive ya know!])

When it comes to over all endings. If Arakawa-Sensei doesn't list off or show at least SOME pairings or out comes I know this for a fact:

There will be riots in the streets. First in Japan, then a week later when the scanalations come out, a riot for the rest of the world.

I don't think she'll do that to us, I think she loves and respects us enough to not do that. (I mean common, we fill her bank account each week ^^- lmao) In a perfect world Ed finally decides to stop being such a bone-head and tell Winry he loves her, but in all honesty I don't see that happening. If anything happens at all, it'll have to be Winry instigated. I don't wanna see Riza all mushy, it's not her style. If anything Roy should cow-tow to her! She's awesome like that ^^- Al is too young for love or anything like that. I'm thinking he'd wanna join the military and help people. Be a State Alchemist. Or run a Cat Farm. One of the two lol ^^-

What I would like to have the final scene be is just a group of kids playing in a yard (Tag or something) and suddenly they run up and say, "Come play with us Daddy, common!" and all you see is a metal arm and a voice off screen says, "Alright, but I won't go easy on ya!" and He runs off. Yeah, that's my dream ending...

Anyway I've rambled on long enough. Running Time: 15 minutes of pure typing. lmao

How do we really know?
