|  New Gakuen readers.... (Yay!! My first thread!!) I've been on this site for a few months now. Everytime I'd log on, I'd see Naruto in first place and Gakuen Alice in second. Every time!!!! This past weekend, I became curious. I just had to find out what was so special about this manga. After reading the first chapter, I couldn't stop! It was soooooooooooooooooooo good. Honestly, it's one of the best that I've read in a while. I love the connections between the characters. The ideas behind the story are also amazing. The alices are all so unique. I really like the story because it kind of reminds me of Harry Potter. I haven't finished yet (I got in trouble because I was reading it instead of studying for finals  ), but I can't wait. If there are any people out there that are skeptical about Gakuen Alice, they shouldn't be. It's an amazing manga that should be classified as required reading. I've already introduced it to 10 others. Anyways, I have questions: Who's your favorite? Do you know what happened to some of the chapters in the middle? What's your favorite Hotaru invention? If you had the choice, would you go to the academy? |

| Welcome new GA fan! It seems the new fans are steadily increasing now that this series has been licensed in English and elsewhere! (I've been a fan for 3 years now, even when it wasn't licensed in my country, and I had to scramble just to find any English summaries or translations about GA out there). I can answer one of your questions This is about the gaps:About 3 years ago, when GA first became popular (due to the anime spreading the word), there were groups who started summarizing the series (but they didn't do scanlations). It was hard to find raws, and even harder to find summaries, let alone translations. This was due to the fact that various people were writing these summaries, rather than just a set group, so things skipped around alot. Then (Dragonvoice, I believe?) and Aerie Scanlations actually began to scanlate the series. They did the first 19 chapters, and then stopped. And so all the fans waited for it to start up again, but they didn't. So then the 2nd scanlation group came along, J&E Scans and they started scanlating at chapter 29, leaving a gap so Aerie would have room to still continue on with their scanlations when they got a chance. Then the 3rd group, Pink Everlasting Dream Scans appeared, and they began to scanlate the more recent chapters, leaving a gap for J&E scans to fill in. J&E is still continuing to scanlate, so the gaps between their chapters and PED's will eventually be filled in. Chapters 20-28, will probably not be done, as it will come out in English soon, unless someone independently volunteers to do it.

| Ok. Thank you very much. (I mean domo arigato ) I looked in my local bookstore. They only have the first one.... I really hope that they get more in. Some of the other good manga include:Skip Beat! Moe Kare! Black Cat ...and too many more to put, but you should read these..... |

 | hi!!!!I'm a newbie too!i've been a fan of Gakuen Alice for 3 years and a half....but i just learned about this site only this year sooooo i've only registered this June....i haven't made a thread yet 'cause i'm afraid i might repeat some threads and other members might get mad at me  i've also introduced gakuen alice to my "barkada" and they got addicted to it!i've been tired lately 'cause they won't stop asking me about the Gakuen Alice Manga 'cause they've only seen the anime....well glad to meet you fellow newbie!oh by the way there's a site where you can read Gakuen Alice stories made by fans..i tell you!they're sooo amazing!maybe you know it already 'cause your a fan.... | I'M a newbie too! ei ikiru, some volumes were skipped since they were not yet scanlated.. a word of advice though, read the other threads before posting anything.. a lot of people might get mad at you or something!..and i mean it!!=[ anyways, chapters 20 to 28, 59-63, and 76-77 are not yet scanlated..some i think are in the process of being scanlated..let's just be patient and wait for it to finish.. to answer the thread..i guess my fave is natsume!! his personality is so complex that it serves as his charm! ..tsubasa is also very likeable since he is the perfect sempai you could ever wish for (i hope i had a sempai like him =[).. mikan is very dumb at times but i am very fond of her! she is so cute and has a very positive outlook in life! if i had an alice, i would like to enter the academy and meet my own natsume!!hahah just kidding! |

|  hi! wel, lyk evrybody, i'm a newbie 2. pleased 2 mit all of u! sigh~ i hope they show it soon. i've bin dying 2 no wat happened @ chapters 20-28...no offense translators!!!  hmm...i guess i'll hafta say koko's my favorite. he luks so cute & he's pretty funny! natsume's 2nd, while tsubasa-sempai's my 3rd. ^^ as 4 the chapters in the middle, check out steffi06's response. guess we'll just hafta w8. my most fave invention of hotaru's is her panda communication earmuffs(i'm a big fan of pandas! ^^), & YES!!! of course i'd go 2 the academy!!! ^^^^ guess that's about it.

| sirr is right XD Watch the anime, episode 17-26 for the missing chapters. They have it on youtube, veoh, crunchyroll ect.

| konnichiwa! minna-san, konnichiwa! I've been to similar websites but I'm new here. Actually, I just registered today just because this is the only site that has Gakuen Alice manga links! LOLZ I first watched the anime before reading the manga. The anime was enough to hook me. I recommended it to my friends who found out that it was good stress-buster.. Then, I thought, 'how about reading the manga?'.. Lo and behold.. manga rocks more than anime!  Anyway, to answer some of your questions: Who's your favorite? >> NATSUME and MIKAN...and TSUBASA senpai What's your favorite Hotaru invention? >> That would be something like Amanatsu (Robot version of Mikan) and Angler Fish Projector. I saw both in the anime.. haha. While waiting for the next chapter, I decided to watch the Gakuen Alice DVD. If in case you don't know, Angler Fish Projector is like a helmet that projects whatever thoughts the person wearing it thinks about.If you had the choice, would you go to the academy? >> Yes, definitely. Probably, I'd be someone who had match-making Alice! LOLz
