[super anime fan]

This thought just came to me one day. I was watching the anime and Jinenji stated that Rin resembled Kagome. That's when the thought came to me. Could Rin be Kagome's ancestor? I thought it would be a rather interesting twist. It would explain why Kagome’s family has knowledge on demons, it’s because since Rin is so close to Sesshomaru that she would most likely keep the knowledge of demon existence known in her family while the rest of the world forgot they existed. What do you guys think?

i'm not quite sure about that, they do look a bit the same but then what about kikyo?.... isn't kagome related to her, or was she just a person that was kagome's old form blah... I can't beleive I forgot that...

Kikyo is from 50 yrs before Rin's time, and Rin is 500 yrs before Kagome's time, so if the author wanted too, he could make those three related

i kno right i thought that 2. i said that they might be related because if you look. they do look alot alike only Rin has a small ponytail in her hair and Kagome doesn't.

kagomes ansestors are all priests or priestses so it would be more logic forkagome and kikiyo to be related becsuse why would rinsfuture family want to become holy people if rin herself liked demons

I agree. Besides the episode where Jinenji says that is a filler. :P
And the only way the look alike is the lenght of their hair, if she had short hair you chould see that her face is different designed that Kagome's.

Kikyo is only kagome's previous incarnation they are not related, and since you fall in ove with the same soul when you are reincarnated rin is not kagome's reincarnation either for she loves sesshomaru. i think they are related.

I second that. At least someone realized that Kagome is only Kikyo's reincarnation and is not in fact an ancestor. But instead if anything, Kagome would be Rin's reincarnation, not the other way (I get what you mean though). I however also think they're related. Just wanted to point that out that you had it backwards.^.^ \/

Rin and Kagome might be related. that would be cool. But of course kikyo isn't related to Kagome! That would totally screw up the reincarnation bit, i mean how alike and unalike can two people be? besides if she were a direct decendant wouldn't kikyo have to have kids??? and i doubt her over 60 year old little sister is going to.
