|  Chronlogical Confusion: The time period of Naruto I've been wanting to do a post on this but could never find the right time. Anyway, from my perspective, the time period of Naruto does not really make sense at all. It has many modern day items such as flak jackets (worn by chunin & Jonin), VCRs, TVs, milk cartons, and the big ass computer from the chunin exams just to name a few. However, other items such as guns and cars are absent. I mean hell, they even have power lines (seen during Uchiha massacre). So, again, the time period just doesn't make sense, which is one of the biggest problems with Naruto: it's too modern. Why? Do you remember when Japan got guns? The samurai sword became extinct, and the firearm was now the weapon of choice. Get it? Me neither. Sure its a fantasy manga where anything can happen, but, it includes things from the real world and does not possess historical consistencies. Heh.. Wouldn't it be funny if the Naruto world is actually an isolated place in the real world in our time a la The Village?

| Well, this is a manga and anime, and like all of the others, it doesn't have to make sense. The reason why is...it can't make sense. Why you ask, well every single anime and manga defies all logic. so...there you go and have a nice day ; ) |

| "Hidden Leaf Village" is HIDDEN(obviously) so i bet the land of ninjas is somehow hidden the outside world by some freakin awesome jutsu. And that one guy with the rennigan established the ninja world so their was a world before the ninja world that remained and grew separatly. so the ninjas have modern technology but don't use cars and guns cuz they don't freakin need to. also their might be some kind of nija code to not use cars and shit |

| His World Kishimoto-sensei once said in an interview that the reason why he has things like computers but not guns is because, he wanted a world where there was SOME technology but not too much. Because really if you had fighter planes and guns would you really NEED ninjas? If you think about it in that way-it makes a lot of sense.
